Well made, powerful magnet and really nifty as the temperatures corelate to the maximum desired temperatures needed for the proper heat range and to avoid over or under firing to minimize or avoid a creasote problem.

I have had one of these in my stove for a year now and it is absolutely very helpful in know what the pipe gas temps are compared to the temp on top of the stove. Very accurate and dependable. I just bought a 2nd one to put in a stove installation for a friend. I definitely recommend this thermometer.

So far works as advertised: sticks to + holds well to the stove and indicates within each range of heat approx temp + whether it's in the creosote/cleaning to best heat and if it's too hot. Just right size, solid all-metal design, easy to use

This is our second season using this handy little thermometer. It sits on our wood burning stove top quietly doing a superior job of fire temperature feedback. It not only tells us the temperature of the fire but the temperature range is divided into zones telling us if our fire is not hot enough and needs stoking (a cause of creosote build up), is just right or is getting into the danger zone of too hot. This gadget made a great stocking stuffer for my husband last year...men love their gadgets! But I had no idea how essential it really was and looking back, I wonder how we ever managed the fire without it! Thanks Amazon!

Seems to be well made. Finish is nice and easy to read. Temperature comparison shows it to read about 30 degrees hotter than the actual temperature. It showed 430 in a 400 oven (on preheated cast iron skillet). I would buy it again. I can’t rate the longevity however, it’s too new. It lost one star for the 30 degrees over temperature read.

This was a great addition to the wood stove that I purchased recently. I'm not sure why the stove doesn't have a built in thermometer, but it doesn't. This attached to the outside of the stove, so I put it on the front right over the door. It probably doesn't give the temperature right inside the stove but it is a good guide.

I like it. Can monitor stove with a quick glance. No regrets paying extra for the quality.

Arrived on time. Works perfectly as advertised. A great accessory to help keep your stove operating in the correct range to reduce creosote buildup and the from getting too hot reducing chances of a flue fire.
