Nice tablet, the charger is a bit wonky though.
My wife and I bought this tablet for our 17 year old son and he really likes it. I'm happy with it overall, however, the charging unit that came in the box SUCKS. I've been using the charger that came with my Nexus 7 and it works much better. The one that came with this unit is terribly slow to charge. I could plug it in and wait all darn day and it wouldn't charge but mine will charge it in under two hours. I'm going to try the data cable from mine with his charger to try to figure out if it's the unit or the data cable.

Overall pretty pleased. The battery came completely dead
Overall pretty pleased. The battery came completely dead. I had to find instructions on how to power up fron a dead battery since a nexus requires some voltage to start. The headphone jack is a known issue with these tablets and mine was no exception. A few months down the road it started with a little fuzz and slowly became unusable. Cheap fix though.

Disappointed
I should have sought a refund. I had one that was wonderful and I wore it out. Purchased this refurbished one and it is just terrible. It takes half the battery power before you can start using apps, otherwise you get the constant isn't responding. Do you want to close? I assumed it would improve over time but it hasn't. I would not recommend purchase not due to anything negative about the seller but product just seems to be past it's use time. Save you money and put toward a new model.

MAJOR Battery issues
Google this before you purchase! It is not the retailers fault for design failure but Google and Asus really botched this one when they released and didn't resolve or even recognize the issues with this thing. Upon first unboxing and charge, the battery did not charge past 40%. In a matter of two days, after draining the battery and recharging it it wouldn't charge passed 5%. I tried everything from reflashing the OS and even changing the OS entirely. No one online has figured the issues out from what I've read and seen. The retailer is super friendly and they were more than willing to replace it, free of charge. I wasn't able to because I ended up having to deploy but the staff is extremely pleasant and ready to assist you in whatever you need so if you're willing to still purchase this, you can take comfort in knowing that they will swap it out until you get one that works or reimburse you. Good customer service. On the plus side, when you get one that works, they are super developer friendly and easy to root and play with.

so far just ok...
Got two units for software development. One had No problem charging and powering up with included charger. Another didnt, nor with another charger. I had to use a li-ion battery with 2.1A out. Tablet finally powered on charged full. Will see if this continues... Hopefully just back up battery going flat due to long storage.

Absolute steal!
This is a great device even when you consider it's refurbished. The one I received was sealed in box and did not have any cosmetic damage on it. You wouldn't be able to notice it was refurbished apart from a small sticker with the serial number.Furthermore it got updated to the latest android os (lollipop) immediately, although through incremental updates. I'm absolutely loving it. It's a bit slower compared to the newer devices but at this price you won't hear me complaining! It still does anything I need it to do perfectly well and doesn't struggle with most apps I've tried. The main difference is that multitasking is out of the question, but I can live with that.

The tablet was in good condition but the charger that came with it was too big. I had to go buy one myself. Other than that shipment arrived on time.

and the first three were wonderful, but this is the first refurbished one I ...
This is the 4th Google Nexus I have purchased off of Amazon, and the first three were wonderful, but this is the first refurbished one I have bought from this seller, and it never worked well from the moment I got it. It said it was certified refurbished, but it freezes constantly, and is basically unusable. At first, I thought the problem was that I put two users on the account, but I have now reset the factory settings three times, with no luck. Unfortunately, I kept thinking I could fix it, and now I have missed my return window.
