I have now purchased this moisturiser a number of times such is my appeal for this organic product by Weleda. It makes a great winter barrier moisturiser especially when your face is exposed to the harsh cold winds and driving rain and then the drying effects of central heating within the home. The consistency is rather thick which makes you wonder if it is suitable for the face but really it is. Just a few small dabs applied on the areas deemed necessary then massage in with a slow, gentle circular motion. Initially your face will look greasy but this disappears pretty quickly as it absorbs deep within. You now have a protective barrier making your skin look hydrated and really healthy. It actually gives you a youthful glow. I use this pretty much all year round alongside a sunscreen by Brickell as I am outdoors a lot, either at work or recreational and I am keen to keep my skin looking at its best despite being male. The smell is quite unique and obviously all natural. It smells rather botanical in a herbal kind of way which I actually like. Lastly, being organic is a great plus and reassuring that no unpleasant and unnecessary chemicals reside in the tube to eventually make their way into your body with unknown consequences!!! Really happy and will continue using this product forever more !!!

Weleda do not package their products in fancy packaging; this comes in a small green tube, a bit like a mini toothpaste or ointment tube. I don't know what the full sized one looks like but I suspect it is similar. This small tube comes in an outer cardboard box, again like toothpaste does. In order to open the tube you have to use the lid to pierce the metal seal. This makes it tamper proof and means that nothing nasty can have been added after it left the factory. This is not hard to do and I like the feeling of security it gives. The cream itself is actually quite thick and a creamy colour. It smells like a fresh herb sort of bergamot orange with other herbs; a combination of those used in the product such as chamomile, calendula and lavender. I like the smell. It isn't sweet and feminine at all, in fact it is clean and fresh, slightly masculine and a bit like some ointments. I have only used this on my elbows, hands and as a special treat and in the interests of reviewing I gave my feet a treat too. I find it is really good for hands and elbows. My feet enjoyed their treat too. The cream is quite thick and feels quite intense but once massaged in my elbows felt nice and well fed but not greasy at all. My hands also felt lovely and soft and smooth and I was able to read on my tablet soon after applying as there was no slippery greasy feel. I was also very kind and allowed my husband to use some of his hands as they get very dry and cracked with eczema. This and the Body Shop hemp hand cream both helped a lot with healing them. he is not very good at regularly applying creams on his hands and that is why they get so bad. The scent lingers for quite some time and as I like the smell, I can work on the laptop and enjoy the scent on my hands as I type. This lovely intense cream is full of natural goodies Water, Sunflower Seed Oil, Lanolin, Sweet Almond Oil, Alcohol, Beeswax, Glyceryl Linoleate, Hydrolyzed Beeswax, Viola Tricolor Extract, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Cholesterol, Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, Citral and Coumarin. Despite some of the Latin names these are all natural ingredients. It reminds me in texture of Body Shop hand cream, the Hemp one. It is similarly thick and feels similar in texture. As it is so thick and intense you need only a little for the moisturising benefits to take effect. I have been a fan of Weleda for some time and am yet to find a product that I do not like. They are not the cheapest option around , especially if you buy them in the UK but I do think they are good quality products produced using ethically sourced ingredients.

Bought this to try and quench my dry, wrinkly skin. I'm early 40s but a lifelong sun lover, so have deep face wrinkles! I use a combo of serums usually alongside L'Oréal day and night creams, but have swapped them for this. It's very thick and almost greasy in texture, but skin feels lovely once it finally sinks in. Feel like I don't have the small under skin temple spots too since switching to this. Love the smell too - super natural!

I have been amazed with this stuff. Skin on my forearm and lower legs looks a bit tired these days. Had one of these for an advent calendar so thought would give it a try. Goes on quite thick and needs to be properly rubbed in. Next morning there was such a difference to my skin. Feels more firm and softer. Scent is lovely as well. Have bought some more and the night cream as well

edit 04/12/24 The more I use this the more I like it. I really like it for the backs of my hands and cuticles. Only a tiny dab is needed and leaves a lovely glow. This won't be for everyone because of the high levels of perfume and fattiness. First try and I thought the perfume was lavender with orange joining in after a few minutes. I really like the scent but was a bit wary of trying it on my face because of the high levels of perfume. First try on bare skin and I thought it might not be for me as my face reddened and I thought it sticky. I had put on too much because it is thick a maybe a little difficult to spread and my skin is very dry so had a little bit of a sting. Next try and I put it on over my evening primrose oil. I put some on my palm and rubbed my hands together then pressed my hands over my entire face so distributing the cream warmed up and evenly before rubbing in a little bit. That worked well for me. My face didn't go red and isn't irritated. I used less cream and the finish isn't sticky but it is a little wet feeling. I like the shine it gives to the skin (because it is fatty). I'll stop using if I develop any reaction to it obviously. Definitely won't be for everyone because of the high levels of perfume which I think might be from essential oils but not sure as it doesn't say on the packaging except where is says, "Limonene*, Linalool*, Geraniol*, Citral*, Coumarin*. * from natural essential oils".

Just started using this. Love the smell and I only need a small amount on my eczema. My arm is now lovely and soft

my favourite moisturiser. it’s thick and you need a very small amount. absorbs over a few hours and makes skin feel amazing. great value for money when it’s on offer. even the this small tube lasts a few months.

I have lots of wrinkles under my eyes and darkness looks like been lunched! make me very self conscious and obviously make up is a nightmare . This cream so hydrating really makes such a difference. Also mix a tiny bit foundation use under my eyes works a treat and for mature skin it a lifesaver. Used many brands this is a game changer. Now ordered cleansing balm and make up remover and interest to replace all my products with this brand plus smells like a spa experience
