A must if you use Quat tab, easy to use
Started using Quat tab since COVD-19 (1 tab to 1 gallon of water with spray bottles). Read somewhere cotton cloth is no good because cotton binds to the ions rendering Quat tab ineffective. Decided to experiment. From the picture there are 6 test strips. Starting at extreme right, solid green was from a freshly made Quat tab batch in one gallon of water. To the left a lighter shade of green tested immediately after dropping cotton towel. To the left of that the almost yellow looking strip was tested about 1 minute after towel was in bucket.200 PPM is acceptable according to health codes so the yellow strip still passes but I prefer my batch to be stronger at 400 PPM so want to see more green color.Three test strips on the left side of picture all show solid green. They are tested the same way except micro fiber cloth was used instead of cotton. It shows micro fiber does not reacts with Quat tab. Research I read said the same and recommended micro fiber cloth instead of cotton.
