Perfect if you use it correctly
I used this to match 5 holes in the bottom of a vinyl pool about 2 quarters big and a 3 inch tear in the siding right below the jet. This stuff is STICKY so it was a bit difficult but totally worth it. I used it underwater and above. I wouldn't use just this product to patch a hole like I did but it was a very good base starter and I used the adhesive on a secondary patch on top to secure it more. It's a few months later and it's all still holding up perfectly despite all the summer fun that's been going on in it. Buy this product if you know what you are doing, it will work if you use it correctly.

Easy to apply and fast drying time.
Very easy to use. It adhered well to a 2” cut at bottom of my above ground pool. Word of advice to anyone wanting to patch: measure tear/ cut in pool and cut patch 1” longer in length and 1/2” wider on both sides. Depending on location of cut, you will want to use a float as your repair bench. My was almost in the middle of the pool so a flat float worked great. This also prevents the patch applicator from drying or becoming tacky before it adheres to the surface. Since I only had one repair, I cut a different piece to practice and figure out how fast the applicator dries. After applying the patch, I placed a cylinder block on top to apply pressure. I’m sure a brick or flat stone will work the same but that’s all I had. Let it sit for a couple hours with pump off and no one swimming and your liner is as good as new.

Does not work under water!!
Do not buy this if you need to patch under water!! The glue dries up completely as soon as it hits the water! We ended up using flex tape under water and it works perfectly!! This was a wasted $22 😫

Does the job
Used to patch vinyl liner of above ground pool. A little tricky to use, especially underwater, but is doing the job. Be sure to cut included vinyl into a proper circle (any edges might lift) and use plenty of adhesive. Smooth out and hold in place for a while until adhesive can fully bond.

Difficult to get applied well underwater
Sticks well, if you can get it to the bottom of the pool and get it flat. I had problems with the glue drying too quickly when I was trying to put it on the patch. The instructions say to fold it in half before putting it in the water for submerged holes, then pull in apart immediately before applying it. That did not work so well, it was difficult to separate once I got to the bottom of the pool. I wound up with a flap of patch sticking up where it was glued to itself, and part of the patch along one edge wound up with the glue washing off before I was able to get it stuck down. The pool still leaks slowly, I will have to cut away the loose pieces of the patch, and place a larger patch over top of it.It was not mentioned in the product info, so I will mention that the patches are clear, so your pattern will show through, but so will the hole and any sand. Also, there are only two glue applicators included with the kit. It may be possible to clean them with acetone or turpentine, but definitely not with soap and water. That just turns them into a big hard lump.

Rather not purchase again
First off, the vinyl is a good quality and you get two little adhesive applicators at once used cannot be reused again as there is no idea what solvent and or cleans this adhesive. Under ideal circumstances, the adhesive works well, but it is not able to be used underwater in any way shape or form as the name implies.
