Best sharpener I have ever owned. I took an old dull knife and stroked it 3 times on each side and It was sharp as a razor. GREAT PRODUCT!

Sturdy, comfortable, and effective knife honing tool
Good quality and price. Easy to handle with protective edge at top of grip for those of us who use a downward slide for knives sharpening. Makes lovely sharpened knives.

Worked great for me! I got the carbon version.
Works excellent as far as I'm concerned. As soon as I got it I sharpened about 6 to 7 knives that another sharpener I purchased from amazon a little while ago dulled horribly. Just to note that the previous carbon steel sharpener that dulled all those knives was from another company, not this one. The knives I sharpened were not high end but your run of the mill moderate hard to softer steel blades, but it put nice sharp edges on them in no time. I actually saw some fine metal shavings come off them initally with firmer pressure which set the edge angle and then with a little less pressure I fine tuned the edge to perfection (or damn close). I like it alot.

Very good weight, feel and balance
I recently purchased this sharpener and I have new knives so I can only comment on a few things for now. I thought the price was good for a quality sharpener such as this and when I opened the package I was not disappointed. I like the feel, weight and balance of this product and since I like keeping my knives sharp, I hope to get several years of use.

works as advertised, only problem is this larger in diameter than what comes in a knife table top block

Nice balance, diamond surface so far good
I am trying this brand for a diamond coated honing rod replacement. I realize that diamond coated honing or sharpening rods are not meant to last a long time, but the last two that I bought lasted about a year each. So far, this honing rod is doing a great job getting my dull knives ready to be sharpened. The diamond coating did not feel really rough, and I didn't expect it to be rough. I searched for a rod that had a finer grit than I usually buy. I like the feel of this rod, and so far I am happy with value I purchased.
