365 by Whole Foods Market, Bay Leaves, 0.15 Ounce

Product is middle of the road but the price is premium. Flavor was good, not great. Leaves were older than expected, certainly not bright green like I'd expected from freshly freeze dried. Same product can be had elsewhere for much less, but it was satisfactory for cooking use.

My wife and I already have a very high opinion of the Whole Foods 365 Brand, considering it to be one of the highest quality Store Brands out there.After doing some research to price compare these bay leaves to other local grocers, we found that these Bay Leaves were a much better value, and so far, they have been incredibly aromatic, adding a nice heft of flavor to our favorite soups, stews, and roasted meats.An added bonus is that they come packaged in a glass jar, which is most environmentally-friendly and reduces the oxidation that can occur with more breathable plastic-based materials.

I find that the price of this product is very disproportionate. It brings some 6 bay leaves inside a glass jar for spices.I don't get it. Why not a small box or bag with much more, and at a decent price?

The bottle came very well packaged and I'm overall satisfied with it. Just a warning though, these bay leaves don't have that much flavor. They smell all right but other brands I've had have much more appeal. Won't be purchasing this again.
