Fixed my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 front-end sag
My 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 QL air suspension was sagging all the way down to the frame bumpers after an hour or two. Problem started a few years ago with right front, then progressed to both front. At first it sagged overnight, then progressed to a few hours. I tested with soapy water to confirm a slight leak prior to moving the old elbows. As soon as I touched either of the old elbow and/or hose, the air started hissing out. This RMT part, WK2-A210-ADFU - RMT Air Suspension Elbow Repair Kit, appears to have a different o-ring seal than the OEM’s. Comparing the innards side-by-side, I determined I made the right choice purchasing replacement elbows vice trying to replace the seal. The OEM elbow does not appear serviceable . BTW, you need to order the whole air line from Jeep to replace these elbows. What a pain that would be to run a replacement air hose! These RMT elbows are a direct replacement perfect fit with the existing hose lines. Just uncIip the clip per youtube videos (extremely helpful) and connect to the new part. I ordered 2 and had them installed in less than 10 minutes. First make sure the front is fully down with all the air out prior to removal. No air leakage for over 2 days with Jeep sitting untouched. It’s been helpful to use JScan with OBD II adapter to get the air suspension levels at each wheel. I am ecstatic these leaks have now been fixed. Next step is to get an estimate on a Nitrogen fill. PERFECT
Man this saved me a large headache and pocket ache. My 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee slowly developed a sloppy (Boat Rocking) sensation when driving over uneven/Rough roads. Also taking turns the jeep would sorta nose dive and rock side to side. I thought I needed new air shocks. Checked the forums and YouTube and saw the infamous Air Valve Elbow as a possible cause for my problem. Driver side was good when pulling air line, but Passenger side would hiss so I knew what I needed to do. Replaced in under 5 minutes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
