Poppies!
Update 2/1/2020The seeds I scattered last March which grew and bloomed over last summer have reseeded themselves this year and are starting to sprout after a recent rain. More poppies this year!Mid March I scattered these seeds along the path I take to walk my dog and the first blooms happened in mid June. They did not sprout in all the places I scattered them but they may after the next rains. The ones that did grow get water from the sprinklers near a park. I live in Southern California and I can see that they’re already making seed pods to reseed themselves for next fall or next year. I will probably buy more to scatter later this year before a rain storm.

Poppy seeds!
When I received the seeds I was a little disappointed, but quickly realized a little, goes a long way. And I had plenty of seeds to placed on a memorial envelope to hand out at Mama’s celebration of life. I have planted these seeds in the yard and they are all coming up! I just tossed them into the planters and they know what to do. They come up every year. Poppies were one of my Mother’s favorite flowers. And I can be reminded of my mother every season the poppies come up.

Seeds to flowers in 4 months!
I have very little gardening experience so I bought these kind of on a whim. I literally just threw the seed all around my yard in mid March. They started sprouting very quickly and the first week of July brought us some flowers! I was not expecting them to bloom at all this year but there are loads of little buds all around my yard. I couldn’t be happier!

Seeds are exactly as described! Arrived in 4 days. Thanks!
Arrived exactly as listed. I checked the weight and it was 8.1 ounces. (23.3 grams per ounce). I was able to generously sow a strip a foot wide by 80 feet long along in front of my fence. I figure that if in 2 years if I get 80 well established plants out of the seed pack I will be doing great. I am ordering another pack right now to do the other 80 feet along my front fence the same way.Remember that Golden Poppy's like to be left alone and exposed to full sun all year. Sow seeds anytime in fall or early winter. They do best in well drained gravelly or sandy soil. They like roadsides and hillsides with full sun exposure. Do not cover the seeds. Do not fertilize them. They are slow starters. Do not water them more than a little once or twice a month in the hottest weather. These are fragile plants that will not stand up to being stomped over much or peed on by pets or torn up by animals. Put them where they won't get hit with a weed eater or mower or blower.

Lovely but where’s the flowers?
Got this for the school I work at to add some life to some dying pots. Simply dropped a bunch of the seeds on the soil and lightly raked before the California winter rains (january). Loved the growth that followed but still waiting for the flowers. In various pots and ground in the playground with various degrees of sunlight. Not sure if it’s still too cold but hopefully we see flowers soon. Otherwise we are all pretty happy with the results especially the children who think the fairies left grass. It’s now mid March. I will be happier once I see flowers LOL will update if that happens
