Donna Kooler's 555 Timeless Cross-Stitch Patterns Hardcover – May 1, 2003

This is a good book to have in my cross stitch library. Although, many of the patterns are a bit out of date in terms of what is fashionable today they can easily be changed. For example, I found some towels in my catche that I had forgotten. I used one of the snowflake patterns in one color (red) and took some wording from another and I got the cutest design. I also, took a pumpkin from one design and stitched it on some placemats and I got new look for some old placemats. The trick is to look at these old designs with new eyes.

Just getting back into cross stitch and this book has some wonderful designs that I am excited to create. Great quality book.

I am on a quest to own every Donna Kooler book...!!!!! This is an awesome book just like all her other books that I own and desire to own...!!! Also...Grandma's Book Nook is a great seller...!!!

These are really good designs

This book has designs that aren't really any different than the other Kooler books. That said, I bought it anyway, to add it to my collection. There is a snowman alphabet sampler that is cute, but I'd really rather do the snowmen without the letters. There are the usual cutesy teddy bears, etc. Most of the designs would fall under the "cutesy" or "sweet" description. I hate to say it, but I've seen better designs. If you have a huge collection, this book probably won't add anything new to your design portfolio. If you're just starting, I'd pick something with a wider variety of designs.

春夏秋冬の季節にちなんだ大きめのサンプラーが4作品に、小さめの作品がそれぞれの季節ごとに各、約110図案数掲載されたボリュームある一冊になっています！小さめの作品は、それぞれ個々に刺しても良いし、いくつかの組み合わせしだいではサンプラーのように仕立てる事も可能です。図案は、花ありカントリーあり景色、小動物など多岐にわたってのジャンルで構成されています。特筆すべきは、冬の大きめのサンプラー、スノーマンのアルファベットです！！　もちろん１つずつ刺してもとても可愛いですが、大きな一枚布にさしたら圧巻だと思います。全体の色合いも、カラフルでとても綺麗で見てても飽きません！☆4つというのは、もう少し大きめのサンプラーが紹介されてるといいなと思ったのですが〡?小さめの図案を組み合わせアレンジすれば、自分だけのステキなサンプラーが出来上がりそうですね♪　お勧めの一冊です！

Beautiful patterns and easy to follow for even a beginner like me. I will definately buy more of Donna Kooler's books in the future.
