Quality dehumidifier
I’ve gone through three pro breeze dehumidifiers over the past 3-years and decided to try this Bosch. First off, it’s a lovely looking bit of kit. White body and black top with classy white LED display. On start up, it’s quiet, very quiet and has all the usual options of setting humidity, laundry mode and child lock. I just set it at 45% and leave well alone. The machine will hit the humidity level then sleep, with the LED pulsating. The water container is sealed, bar a pouring spout which allows you to decant your water into the sink or toilet cistern. It’s been on for two weeks solidly doing its thing and it’s been a joy to own and to look at. It just feels and looks like quality. I tried to register with Bosch but the product label was missing something, but Bosch said they’d honour a 2-year warranty despite the registration failure. It’s a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for. Can’t fault it so far.

Works great & quieter than my old one
We purchased this around 10 weeks ago to replace our old EcoAir that we had for over 4 years. So far, I am very impressed with this wee machine. It is so much quieter than our old EcoAir and it really pulls the moisture from the air in our house. We live in a super tiny, 2 bedroom bungalow which is just around 740sq feet/69 sqm (yes.... I know....it's tiny) and was built in 1979 with good old cheap breeze blocks and little to no insulation. Insulation was badly blasted into our cavity walls some time in the 80's and then our loft has about 2 feet of insulation that was badly installed too. So our house easily traps moisture and gets terribly damp if we don't do everything we can to keep on top of it. Being in Northern Ireland, it's constantly cold with very high humidity so it's a daily battle to keep our house dry. Particularly during the winter, we've awoken to literal condensation water running down our bedroom walls before. That completely freaked me out and I knew we needed to do something. Our HE inspector's solution was to open our windows wide and keep the heat blasted on. I told him I'd gladly do that if he was planning on paying for our heating bills. He laughed. That was his only solution for the mould and damp we were getting everywhere. It got so bad that mould destroyed our mattress and we had to purchase a new bed because it was so badly damaged with mould. We finally purchased a dehumidifier and it's been a game changer. This little machine works a charm. It has multiple settings including a timer. You can set it to the humidity that you want and the machine switches on or off once it detects that the air humidity drops above or below that number. And once it's hits the proper humidity, it switches off. It has a fantastic little setting for when you need to dry your washing indoors, which, living in rainy cold NI, happens a lot. We set the machine on the drying setting and add the amount of hours we want it to run at that level. It seems to make our washing dry faster as it pulls the moisture out of the clothes. Because we are in a bungalow, we have a central hallway with only 5 rooms in total running off it, so we simply place the machine at the top of the hall, outside the bathroom, open all 5 doors and allow the machine to run and get down to the optimal moisture level. And so far, all our rooms seem pretty dry. The water reservoir is very easy to remove and clean and it also alerts you once it's full. So far, we are delighted with how well this machine works. And it's an added bonus that it's not a noisy as our old one. Highly recommend this machine.

I'm impressed!
The Bosch 2000 dehumidifier arrived on time and extremely well packaged. It is a completely self contained unit on small casters. It is pre wired and supplied with a uk plug, and comes with a separate drain hose should you not wish to use the reservoir and good instructions. It has an auto mode that will turn on/of independently depending on humidity level, a laundry mode and a standard on/of mode with "off" timer that will also switch off when the desired humidity level is reached. All the features are accessible via the top mounted countrols and display. The unit operates very quietly and so should not disturb anyone.I use it mainly when cooking as although steam seems to disappear through my extractor, I still get a build up of moisture on the tiles and windows, which is a nuisance as we're open planned.I must say that I'm really impressed the the units ease of use and it's performance. The digital display indicates current humidity levels and it soon rises when cooking. I measured the water drawn into the reservoir after 1.5hrs of use during cooking and was amazed that it contained nearly 900ml of water, and the humidity level had dropped from 67% to 53%. All I could imagine was all that water sitting on my walls and windows day after day.I use it now with every cooking or laundry session, especially if I decide not to use the dryer and dump my laundry on the radiators to dry.It really is plug and play and if the water reservoir fills up to capacity then it will shut down.I really am grateful that I was able to test this through vine, I wasn't 100% convinced I needed one but now I wouldn't be without it.

Very quiet even on the laundry setting.
Even on the laundry setting its really quiet. It was delivered upside down so left it for 24 hours the right way up, otherwise it would get damaged. Had it on for 6 hours on laundry mode and its already a quarter full and the air feels a lot dryer and warmer. Great value for money. It's about 3 foot tall, a foot and half wide and about 12 inches deep. I'm expecting great things as i used to have a Bosch washer which lasted a lot of years.
