I used these to keep dehydrated zucchini chips crisp and they worked perfectly. Every chip stayed crisp until the last bite.

It's so much cheaper to buy the spices I use in bulk, and I use a lot of different spices. These dessicant packs are the perfect fit for the jars. I put a few in each jar, put a label on it to show how many are inside (so I don't lose any), pack the jars all together in a big plastic ziploc bag, and put a few more of the packets in the bag. Spices are kept nice and dry so they don't lose their flavor. These would be great for a multitude of uses.

Yep, this product is what is advertised. I use to keep home-dried foods dry further in zip lock bags. I also pop them into staples containers like flour and sugar (as I live in a humid summer region). They work. These are perhaps a bit large on for the purpose of bag drying. I figure that's ok, better a bit more desicant action, than not enough. This was my compromise size. One for bags, two for larger containers.

These are just the right size for my dehydrating needs. I use 4 to 16 ounce canning jars to dehydrate foods and depending on the size of the jar, I toss in one to four in the jar with my dehydrated foods and they work great. I will buy this brand again. I am not new to dehydrating foods and have used another brand before that did not do the job. So I believe I know what I am talking about. It is not worthwhile to clean and prepare food that spoils because the product does not work.

First off, I was looking for silica packs to drop into my ammo field boxes. These definitely fit the bill. They're wrapped in a paper wrapper that lets it breathe so it can, you know, do it's job and keep humidity out. I'm giving these 5 stars for now, I'll update a few months down the road and adjust the rating accordingly if they're not doing their job. Only thing is the size, but not knocking anything for that. Just know that if you're planning on a small container for ammo and you expect to plop this in and still be able to pull the ammo out, make sure there's enough space (in my specific instance was using a prescription bottle to hold .22LR ammo)

I am using these in my spice jars to try to keep spices dry. I live in a very humid region so these are greatly appreciated. I love that they are food grade and have color change indicator beads to show when it is time to replace. Plus they can be reactivated instead of having to throw them away after one use. Great ideas!
