I was unable to speak for a week so this helped to communicate and allow me to feel “a part” of conversations. It has buttons that you can pre record short messages so one of them I pre recorded me laughing and my family got a kick out of me using that button every now and then when necessary lol. I did wish it had a goodbye button though! It was so easy to use and it also has a volume setting which was great. I passed it on to my relative who works in a hospital and can give it to a patient that could utilize it. It would be great for tracheostomy patients who cannot speak, nonverbal people, or people like me who just needed some vocal rest for a bit. It was such a great product!
