This essential oil is a great mix of flowers and herbs. It has increased in price the past few years but is unique enough to continue buying. You can add this to a spray bottle with water or even alcohol and it is a wonderful fragrance to wear. You can also add this to lotion or shampoo, or hand soap for a great fragrance... Watch for the sales on this great product! You won't be disappointed!

I love this oil! I initially received it as a gift with a diffuser and I wasn't sure I loved the smell at first. However it ended up being my very favorite oil and I frequently reorder it. My husband and I both love the scent and the atmosphere it creates. Although this is not one of the effects it advertises, it promotes really deep calm peaceful sleep. I put it in my diffuser and put some on my wrists when I want to sleep deeply and feel peaceful. I have some difficulty sleeping and staying asleep and this oil is the first helpful thing I have found a long time.The smell is floral, citrusy and multilayered. My husband really likes the smell on my skin. Compared to other essential oil companies, Now oils tend to be a little weaker so you have to use more drops in a diffuser than you would with some other brands. The part I like about that is that you can use it neat on your skin without any negative effects. I have actually purchased other oil blends designed to help you sleep and they don't work as well as this one does for me. This oil does leave residue, like most citrus oil's will, in the diffuser. It needs to be cleaned out every day or every other day to prevent mold and build up. We use our diffuser with this oil in it almost every night. In order to clean it I use another Now essential oils blend, "clear the air." I use a few drops on a cotton ball and wipe the entire surface clean. I use a Q-tip to clean the disk and any crevices. It is the best safest way to clean any diffuser. Clear the air also works wonders for headaches. I am never without "naturally lovable"or "clear the air." I highly recommend both of these oils.

I really have nothing bad to say about this essential oil. NOW generally makes a good product. They have a wide variety of oils and blends...and I have had a good experience with their diffusers as well. The last diffuser of theirs that I had finally died on me recently. It was purchased back in 2015, and I used it all the time. That's a long time for an electronic these days. As long as I kept her clean, she was good to me.Back to the subject of this review. I purchased the "Peace and Harmony" essential oil blend, originally, around the time I got that last diffuser in 2015. I absolutely love the way it smells. I think it's because of the peppermint and orange in it that are so bright and refreshing, but then mellowed out by the calming lavender, and grounded with the earthy and herbaceous notes of the basil and patchouli. Word to the wise, if patchouli isn't for you, this may not be your jam. The patchouli is subtle, but it's in there.I have purchased this scent several times through the years when I can find it. It had been a little while since the last time I purchased it, so it could just be me, but I felt like maybe it didn't smell exactly the same as before? Don't get me wrong. It was still very pleasant, just a little different. I'm not a mixologist, or whatever the person is called who formulates these, but I want to say there was something different about maybe the patchouli in this batch??I am cutting them a little slack, because like I said, it still smelled really good. I am sure it is difficult to keep 100% consistent results all the time when you are sourcing ingredients from other resources, especially when there are so many variables potentially affecting the different herbs that go into these aromatherapy oils.Bottom line, you can't really go wrong with the NOW products. They are well priced, responsibly sourced, and properly extracted for maximum potency and longevity. I can tell you this...my bottle of "Peace and Harmony" that I got July 9th is already gone because I can't help but plow through it when I have it. Go ahead and give it a try. If you don't care for it...send it my way. I certainly won't turn my nose up at it. LOL :)

The NOW Foods Mental Focus, smells fantastic! I have absolutely fallen in love with this stuff. I diffuse it at my desk when working, at my sons desk when homeschooling, and in my car (on a cotton ball in the air vent). I love the fact that they use 6 very easy to find oils. Lemon, peppermint, wintergreen, basil, Rosemary, and grapefruit e.o. make up this bottle. The bottle its self is dark to preserve and protect the oils from sun exposure. Also, like most essential oil bottles it comes with a plastic dropper cap.. Life saver if you don't have a glass dropper. The label is clean and simple and the ingredients/ instructions are easy to read.As for the effectiveness, I am no expert, but I honestly believe it does work. The strongest scents are the wintergreen and peppermint, which are known for their effectiveness in making you alert (along with a thousand other uses). Along with the other 4 oils, they all give you mental focus. I mentioned that I diffuse this at my sons homeschooling desk and I am pleased to say it works for him too. It keeps him more focused on the task at hand and not on distractions. If it can work on a autistic/ ADD 3 y.o. I'm positive it'll work for everyone.If you are new to the e.o. World and don't want to spend a ton of money on oils, NOW Foods is the way to go. It was hard for me to put aside what other people where saying about the purity of their oils but now that I have, I don't see any other way to go as a beginner.
