The Gnats of Knotty Pine

This is a favorite book from my childhood. I love gifting Bill Peet books at baby showers.

Although not a rhyming book like many other Bill Peet stories, it is a fantastic story with beautiful illustrations and a moral (even the smallest creature, the gnats, can help)

So many guns in the books.

Our grandkids love Bill Peet stories! Even the youngest ones love hearing the stories, great rhymes, great adventures, great illustrations!

Text and illustration really charming. A MUST read for all.

My brother loved this as a child. It's stood up to the test of time, though is still above my 4 year old's head. Glad we have it though as I'm sure she will love when she's a bit older.

This was a memorial gift for an elementary school. The book had been recommended by the librarian.

I love the graphics. The story is also beautiful, however, I will read it to my son when he gets a little bit older (he is 3 and a half).
