Should this product be wet and have liquid in the plastic packaging when it arrives?

I don’t think so. We have ordered this product several times and it has always arrived dry. It is an air dried cut of meat. Probably got too hot during transportation. Suggest you return and ask for a refund. Cheers Roger Ford

Hi, you need a thin long meat knife that can flex . You then cut thin slices along the length . You made need to remove some fat if there is a layer.the knife needs to be very sharp

How long is the eat by date?

unopened it will last 10 months but once opened upto 3 months if it gets a bit of mold on it then all you do is wipe it off with a damp cloth. (it is not harmful).
