The Red Tenda of Bologna

This is the first book of this ''Penguin Modern'' Series (PENGUIN MODERN : 30) that I've bought. It was a wonderful read.The blurb says :''A dream-like meditation on memory, food, painting, a fond uncle and the improbable beauty of Bologna, from the visionary thinker and art critic.''This small book, apart from the coziness in grabbing the book, also provides a sense of wonder the way fonts are arranged - a short sentence, two paragraphs - in a page, with large voids. History gets mixed with personal feelings and experiences and that lead to a voyage though Bologna with its Italian cuisines.
