It is incredibly fast -- easily a Giga Byte per second -- over a cable -- extraordinary, the first thunderbolt drive that (for me ) really yields TB performance. The design of the drive itself is lovely and efficiently dissipates the heat while making the warm drive pleasant to handle. Even the clear bold labelling on the cable is a cut above.
