This bag of Herbs Botanica Angelica Root holds a good supply of pieces of root, in various sizes. I like that they’re in an airtight plastic bag, inside a ziploc outer bag to keep them fresh. It’s a subtle herb with a smoky essence. I appreciate the list of tips and uses (including cooking and tea) on the back of the bag. I also really like that it’s 100% organic and natural, with no chemicals or pesticides. Good product.

What i got was not cut and sifted. It came as whole chunks. It's not agelica root. It's calamus root

Double sealed packaging, good strength aroma. I'm no die-hard botanist but seems like a good product to me. Note: Not pre-shredded, so probably produces better flavor/fragrance, but if your desired end product is shredded you'll have some extra work ahead.

The item information all points to this product being Angelica root (Angelica archangelica), however the scientific name on the package is Acornus calamus which is sweet flag. Sweet flag is known as an emitic, possible psychoactive, and contains β-asarone (a known carcinogen). I'm not taking a chance
