but the guinea pigs found the stair really difficult to climb - it looked like it was too steep
The product arrived as promised and condition was as expected. Once it was up, it appeared ok, but the guinea pigs found the stair really difficult to climb - it looked like it was too steep. This just could be my silly guinea pigs. The pull out drawer doesn't work, guinea pigs need so much hay that it wouldn't fit through the gap given to aid easy cleaning. The lack of floor we thought would be a good idea as it gives free access to grass but it proves very difficult to clean and ruins the grass they are on. A pen with a floor and a separate run would have been better for us.

Not easy to use
The product is sturdy but really difficult to clean the top door on left doesn’t open and it’s hard to get into to remove rabbits to clean. Not very spacious.

Amazing value for the money
Amazing value for the money, well made, and so easy to put together, everything is marked for assembly, and delivery to Greece was really quick, so highly reccomended, the only thing is i wish i could have got the same hutch but bigger, because i want my rabbits to have more run about space .

My piggies love it—after I improved the ramp!
Great value for money, and my two boars love it. Sold, looks great, is weathering well so far, and am very happy with my purchase. HOWEVER:+Guinea Pigs are not great climbers, and falling is DANGEROUS for them. So before I put my guinea pigs into their new home, I took thin planks of wood (thin plywood would work well) and screwed them into the ramp to create sides. I also raised the ramp on bricks so that the ramp was not as steep (the bricks served as steps). I felt this was much safer for them, and they took to going up and down the ramp very easily. An open ramp is fine for rabbits and climbing rodents, but not guinea pigs with their short legs and ground-hugging bodies, and a fall at twice their height could seriously injure them.+Changing out the bedding in the upper room is easy — however, do make sure your piggies are downstairs before pulling out their floor! I change the upper try when I put food in their bowl in the 'basement', to make sure they are both downstairs. A layer of newspaper and some hay is great; the whole mess slides out into the compost bin!+So far the cage has weathered well outside, though we'll see how it lasts. I expect I'll need to re-stain it (with something piggy-safe) later this year+The cage is exactly as big as advertised. Which is not huge; I've attached a run to the cage during the day, to give my boars space to run around in. I don't think it would be fair to any animal to be in a cage this size without access to some running-around space.
