If you follow my reviews, you’ll know that I’m one of those neighborhood cat ladies. I work for a rescue and am regularly involved in caring for, nursing back to health, and finding forever homes for felines big and small, from all paths on the mean streets, and in all states of health. I regularly work closely with veterinarians and am privileged to have them there to offer advice and guidance as I help these little furbabies transition to health. I’m currently working with two cats who have breath that is much worse than any puppy breath you’ve ever smelled. One is a senior boy who just had dental surgery to remove 4 decayed molars. They were so painful that he’s lost so much weight that most kittens weigh more than he does. The other is a middle aged boy with stomatitis, a mean disease that attacks the teeth and keeps them battling infections. Both cats also have bad allergies and ongoing sinus issues. Because of their tooth pain, they won’t eat hard food or teeth-cleaning treats, and are very difficult to give oral medicine to. So I asked for suggestions and the vet I work with pointed me to these great dental, sinus and respiratory treats that also help with stinky breath. Wonder of wonders, they both LOVE THEM! And I can hide medicine in them and the cats eat the medicine, too! These treats look, smell, feel, and are the same consistency as a Churu treat. Apparently they taste pretty close, too, because the boys snarf them up. I’ve been using these for about 2 weeks now and I’m noticing a marked difference in sinus drainage, sneezing, and bad breath. Both boys are eating and drinking more and starting to put on a bit of weight. I can definitely tell the difference on days when I don’t give them one in the morning. By mid afternoon they have drainage and are sneezing wet sneezes on me. We have had no negative side effects though we were warned that they could cause some diarrhea. We’ve had nothing but improved health and reduced symptoms. I definitely believe these treats have been part of the solution, though I don’t discount the value of getting their meds into them finally and seeing them eating and drinking more. I recommend these highly and think they are a high quality product that does work. It will remain a part of our regimen until they are well. It’s worth every penny. Take it from your friendly neighborhood cat lady.

My cat had a cough that she had been on three different meds from the vet, gave her these for a few weeks and it completely went away, she’s barely coughed since then and the days she does I give her one and then it doesn’t come back, will buy again!

This would ABSOLUTELY be a 5 Star Plus rating, except that they are so darn expensive.

My cat loves these but they don’t do much in terms of health. If you want a squeeze treat they work but they’re not a miracle treatment. Just go to the vet and get medicine, this won’t work. Still, my kitty loves the taste.

As a professional in the animals industry and the owner of a cat with a very bizarre respiratory problem that so far has no known, or diagnosable condition... I had been researching products and ingredients and was surprised that this had ingredients that were studied by the NHS. After the first box, I would say the condition improved by about 25%. For reference, the cat will randomly start sort of wheezing but act more like dogs I have seen that have had blades of grass get inhaled up into their sinuses. Their bodies almost convulsing and looking like they were having extreme difficulty breathing. Our kitty has similar episodes that look very frightening but are definitely not at all like what you might have had your vet describe or call a reverse sneeze. Yearss of working in a clinic as well as training and woking with exotics, I have never seen or heard an animal carry on like our kitty does. 25% improvement may not seem like a lot but cutting down that much in just 1 month seemed very successful to me so we have continued to buy and feed Cat Breathe. Which I honestly think is a weird name but a name is just a name. We tried several prescriptions from the vet that the visit alone cost about $100 plus the Rx of about $50 and figure we've filled aa dozen prescriptions and done the whole thing from the start at least 5 times... Makes this treatment seem pretty darn reasonably priced! The cat is actually my son's ESA cat and is a VERY important member of our family. Seeing him in the kind of discomfort that I have never seen on any other cat was very upsetting for me and I couldn't imagine how distressing it was for my son. I am only imagining more improvement in symptoms as we continue using this but if anything should change and the improvement changes and it stops working, I will definitely come back and make necessary adjustments to this review. For now, I am finding this to work as well as any $50-$75 prescription I've gotten at the clinic. Keeping fingers and anything else we can cross at the ready so our kitty keeps getting more and more comfortable! Definitely recommend trying if you have a kitty with respiratory issues.
