Didn't Work For Me
I had a swollen battery in my spare iPhone 6 Plus but the phone was still working. Since I've changed several batteries in iPhones over the years, I ordered this battery as a replacement. As a retired electronic technician, the task wasn't difficult. Unfortunately, the phone wouldn't boot up completely and was in a boot loop following the battery replacement. At this point I checked all connections to the screen and battery but nothing was wrong. Some research online pointed to a bad battery so I returned and purchased a different brand. This fixed my iPhone but required the phone to be restored from a previous backup. The task was quite annoying because I had taken great care not to break the iPhone during the battery replacement but then it wouldn't turn on. Once a good battery was installed the iPhone needed to be restored for some unknown reason. This was surprising and reinforced the need to backup a device before servicing.
