PrepWorks Onion Chopper – Green/White, Standard, for Quick and Easy Dicing and Chopping

I love this thing. This is my second. The first one fell off the counter and cracked. I was not going to buy another one, but I used this a few times a week. Evenly chops onions and peppers. I could use for apples and pears to if I need little bits for baking. Easy to clean. Just hit the lid on the counter a few times and scrape it with the rake. Then into the dishwasher it goes. This is a great item. Would make a great wedding gift.

This is a gift for a friend. I have enjoyed mine for years and know how reliable and easy they are to use. The blades do the job efficiently and quickly. I love that it can all be put in the dishwasher for cleaning.

I have used this Chopper several times and find it works great! It's easy to use, but it does require a certain amount of strength to pop the top down in order to chop the onions. I suggest that the chopper be put on a chopping board or softer surface than tile in order to so your chopping. My only complaint is the difficulty in cleaning the blades thoroughly. The blades are VERY sharp, so one has to be VERY careful when handling the blades during cleanup.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Fine chop blades. Chops very fine. Works great.

Great time saver, however the cleaning the top can at times be a challenge as food accumulates. This is the 3rd one I have purchased. The bottom container in the first 2 cracked so care needs to be taken and don’t use excessive force.Why have I purchased 3 when the first 2 failed? Well the chopper is great and it takes the work out of chopping.A metal bottom or reinforced plastic would probably make this work even better.

The hinge is designed to slip on and off in the 90 degree position. The problem is that if the hinge is not full seated and you attempt to chop, either the clear plastic will break or the green hinge tab will break off. For me, the green hinge tab broke off. For others, the clear plastic broke. If you look closely at the male half of the hinge, it is rectangle. Round would work better in this case. We contacted Progressive International, both by email and by filling out a form, over a week ago with no response.

An excellent tool for cooks. I gifted them to my children in the past and more recently to a friend.👍
