Great Organic Blue Flour
I love this blue corn flour expecially becuase it is organic and easy to work with. It has a very good taste but you need to sieve it so it is easier to work with. Mix 2 cups of blue flour plus 1/4 spoon of salt with 1 cup 1/4 of warm water. blend and mix with your hands Let it rest 30 min in fridge and use a tortilla press to make the tortillas flat. Cook them and put them into a warm piece of clothes. Then use them as you would normally. Eat them in the next 24 hours. It is very healthy less caloric than other types of flour and has a specific and wonderful taste. That was the flour one could find in the little markets of Mexico before the OMG companies came, got rid of the good seeds and made the little campesinos dependent, not to mention the impact on the food we eat and consequently on our health.

Made beautiful and delicious tortillas!
I used this to make corn tortillas because I thought the color would be fun, not to mention whatever extra antioxidant boost you get from the blue-purple colors. I used a very basic recipe of 1-3/4 cup masa mixed with a little over 1 cup of hot water and some salt; rested after kneading wrapped in plastic wrap for 30 minutes, then kneaded briefly and used a tortilla press and cast iron skillet to shape and then cook. I had read some reviews that said this wasn't very finely ground, so I did shake it through a mesh strainer first. There really was only a small amount that wasn't fine enough to make it through, so next time I will likely just use it as is. They were a beautiful shade of purple when cooked, and were absolutely delicious. Very fresh and flavorful. I am especially pleased to buy an organic (and thus non-GMO) corn product as I know that is becoming a rarity. I will definitely buy again when we run out. I want to add that this is only my second or third time making tortillas though I am an experienced cook otherwise...I have previously used Bob's Red Mill masa harina and found this product to perform equally well.

She said it was really good and that she was going to buy some more ...
This masa I purchased for my daughter because she couldn't find any "blue" masa for making chips and tortillas. She said it was really good and that she was going to buy some more when she ran out. Great flavor, price is right, and very nice organic flour.

Make some tasty, warm, soft tortillas that are healthy!
Just made my first batch of homemade blue corn masa harina tortillas....they were fabulous! I love that they are soft on the inside and have a bit of a crunch on the outside, and so warm and fresh! This was the only organic blue corn masa harina that i could find in a regular size package, 2 pounds as opposed to a big 5 pound bag. The price seems high, but being organic and blue made this a hard to find product. And the shipping being included also made it seem like more, but in comparing the cost at the store's website after shipping is added was about the same.

Disgusting, but maybe it's suppose to be? Never had blue corn flour tortillas before.
Edit: Please refrain from turning a simple review into a debate platform. Disgusting flavor, and an ugly blue color. Maybe this is normal for blue corn flour. I don't know. I just know this should be thrown out of my kitchen. Maybe I just had a bad tortilla recipe (although it's pretty basic, how can you go wrong?). They just turned out awful. Not inedible, I mean, it was okay, but disgusting compared to the amazing flavor of well made (non-blue?) tortillas. edit: To specify: the "ugly blue" color was a very grey. Nothing like the beautiful blue color you see in restaurants or at the store.
