Review: Sturdiest board, best dry erase markers! - I have a few clipboards for coaching my U11 soccer team. 6 different boards I’ve owned to date. Only 3 of those 6 were still in use. Each has its own purpose. One I have applied Velcro tape in our teams formation and I have laminated player names that I can easily move to positions or onto a substitution section. I plan on doing that to the side of this board that has the player lineup and I’ll give the old board to my Assistant Coach. This dry erase board will become my all purpose board. Replacing all but one of the other boards. The only reason I’ll keep one other board I have, is because magnets will stick to that older board. This board unfortunately is not metal so I can’t use my magnets to illustrate plays in motion. I don’t use he magnets very often but I like the option of moving the pieces so the younger kids can see how a play unfolds. I knew that this board wouldn’t work with magnets when I purchased it, so I’m not letting that impact my rating, but it will show up in the “Cons” list. If it had that feature it would literally be the only board I’d ever need! This is the largest and so far the most sturdy board I’ve ever owned. It comes with black and red dry erase markers with erasing pads on the caps. They are larger than the markers that come with most other boards I’ve purchased so they should last longer. The markers on the other hand different story. *by J***S on October 31, 2019* I absolutely love this clipboard for my soccer team. It's strong and big enough my team can huddle around so I can draw out and explain positions or just about anything on. The downside is the markers that are included. The Red came uncapped and dried out. The black was capped and worked. The caps themselves also double as a marker holder to push on to the side of the clipboard. More of a hassle because they slide up/down and slip right off. The caps for the markers themselves do not provide a good tight snap closed and easily come off.
