Review: This lens case has a bit of a learning curve. You have to be smarter than the case. - This lens case is well made, but can be a pain in the butt if you don't take time to figure out how it works before using it. It's made of plastic, so if you try to force it, it will definitely break. Many of the other reviews say the case is hard to open or had to be broken because it jammed. There are some feature of this case that make very good sense if you take into consideration that it was made specifically to be used with the Menicon Progent cleanser. The Progent cleanser is a protein remover and after soaking your lenses in it, you have to rinse them very, very, VERY thoroughly (usually under the water faucet) or you can get trace amounts of the cleanser in your eyes and do serious damage. The baskets on the insert have a latch on the bottom that is difficult to open ON PURPOSE because you don't want the basket to open while you are running it under water because you may lose a lens down the sink. Prescription scleral lenses in the US are usually around $1000.00, so losing a lens is a big deal. The vial has a notch that runs the entire diameter of the case so that when you place the insert into the vial, it is secured in a stationary position. If you don't make sure that the insert is aligned in this notch when you put it in the vial, it may get stuck and will probably break. The insert has a swivel at the top on the underside of the lid. This allows you to screw the cap on and off while the insert doesn't move. This is also very easy to break if your insert is misaligned and jammed in the vial. If that swivel breaks, you will probably need pliers or a tool of some kind to get the insert out, so be careful! You will need very fine motor control of your fingers to get the baskets open. The baskets will accommodate a wide range of scleral lens sizes, so it fits my 14.5mm lenses but could easily fit larger ones as well. Overall, it's an excellent specialty case, you just have to pay attention to what your doing or you will break it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for Sclera Contact Lenses
*by S***E on February 14, 2023*

I have been a sclera contact lens wearer for 10 years. The manufacturer’s disinfecting products have proved to be the best for me. However, their disinfectant product, Progent, comes with a lens washing case that is too small for sclera lenses. The larger sized case is sold separately by the manufacturer; however, at a higher price than Amazon’s price. Win-win for me!! I use Menicon products to maintain my sclera contact lenses. NEVER, never wet your sclera lenses with tap water because tap water contains mineral deposits that can attach to your lenses and harm your eyes doing the wear of your sclera lens. I use Opti-Free Puremoist multi-purpose disinfecting solution to rinse the large sclera lens washing case instead of water. Then, I soak the lenses in the Menicon Unique pH multi-purpose solution for at least 4 hours to be sure all of the Progent solution is removed. Menicon always recommends use of the Progent system to remove protein deposits and biofilm from RGP lenses bi-weekly, on top of everyday cleaning with Unique pH for daily wear.
