Prior to that it just didn't seem to have the power it should & also sounded like it had bit of an intermittent miss. On the recommendation to "shock" the system and clean the fuel system and de-carbon the power head properly, I used a 3oz. to one gallon ratio. I had a small portable 3 gal. fuel tank and once on the lake I switched over from the onboard boat fuel tank to the portable. Almost instantaneously I could tell/feel the difference with the motor....seriously, scouts honor! I continued to run out the small tank varying throttle positions at times. When done with the "shock treatment" the motor was back to running smooth & powerful as it should. Made our fishing trip in MN a pure joy.
