Great value, taste and freshness
When rehydrated, the color was just as vibrant, the smell was wonderful, and the taste was great. I rehydrated some with a little bit of hot water, and they were soft in 15 minutes or less (I walked away and forgot to check until 15 minutes later). After rehydration, the water had a slight orange tint and tasted like fresh carrots, which speaks for how flavorful these are. I have used them in soups, and stews. I will recommend measuring less than needed because these do expand a bit once rehydrated. I have also given these (dry) as treats to my pet rabbit, and he loves them. I will definitely buy these again.

Made In China, Very Good Rehydrated In Soups & Homemade Crackers
These dried carrots are from China. I'm very careful when choosing edible items, and these seemed okay to me because they don't have a bunch of added ingredients or processing for me to worry about. They smell clean & taste great. The product bag I received was not vacuum sealed because I could squeeze the air out of it before opening. There were numerous pencil-tip sized dents in the metallic side of the bag, so it's possible some of these made tiny pinholes in the bag. Unfortunate, but the contents still seemed dry; hopefully they won't go bad early because of this.I use these for both soups and homemade crackers. I love mixing dried veggies in my soups at the beginning of cooking; if it's just for me, I put in one or two tablespoons, and twice that for both my husband and I, which is plenty for a hearty soup. Such a time-saver than chopping fresh ones up, and a space-saver too.I also get dehydrated mixed veggies for my homemade crackers. I just pulverize them in the chopper to rough bits and mix them in the dough before spreading & baking. These carrots are great for my sweet & savory crackers. :)4 stars from me!

Use less than you think you need
I've been dehydrating carrots for myself - usually sliced or shredded and saw these diced carrots and decided to give them a try.A 1 pound bag of dehydrated carrots is A LOT. The package did not come with any instructions on the ratio of how much water to use with the carrots. I thought I took out a small amount - less than a quarter cup and I ended up with about a full cup of rehydrated carrots. I added more than enough water to cover the carrots in the small bowl. They rehydrated as expected and I cooked it with some rice. They maintained their bright orange color. This will be great to take camping and on road trips as an easy way to add a vegetable to my meals. I also dehydate canned/frozen corn and broccoli to take on trips.

dried carrots
These dried carrot are super simple and do what they're intended to do - stay shelf stable and taste like carrots. Check and check. These are great for throwing into ramen to bulk it up - they're bite sized pieces so they don't need any further prep. They're also just really handy to have around for emergency food supplies in case of power loss. They are easily rehydrated in water or broth and can help pull together a camp stove soup. They come well sealed and the zipper built in to the bag works as it should. I appreciate that this bag can stand on its own, making it easy to store in the pantry.

Nice size for soup or ramen
These dehydrated carrot flakes are a nice size to use in soup, ramen, or pasta dishes. The flakes have a good color and rehydrate quickly in hot water. They can also be added directly to soup or ramen to rehydrate while cooking. I tested them both ways and thought the texture and flavor was excellent. Not too firm when reconstituted and not too soft either. They retained a bit of crunch and tasted as good as freshly shaved carrot bits. Having these on hand to use whenever I want a bit of carrots to use without needing to run to the store to buy a carrot is a nice convenience. These are a product of China and come in a clear resealable bag without a moisture absorber, so be sure to keep the bag well sealed and store it in a cool dry place away from sunlight to maintain freshness. The package I received had a best by date of January 2027.

Convenient carrot flakes.
One of the things I hate about ramen is that it's rather bland if you just use the packets. Add a bit of these carrots to it, maybe an egg, and you have some nice ramen soup without all the prep work. These come out a bit hard even after cooking in ramen water for a bit. Not too hard, almost the perfect texture for what I like.Highly recommended

Really good...and as advertised.
All you get with these are dehydrated carrots as advertised. I find however, that to use this you have to rehydrate the flakes a little bit, or you'll find the flakes a bit chewy. That is, these work very well in recipes as opposed to chewing on them as is.

Great Cooked in Soups
I love to make homemade soups and these are perfect for that. I made homemade chicken noodle soup and added these at the same time I added the celery and it turned out great. The carrots rehydrated well and tasted just like regular carrots would have. And they were still orange and looked nice. So convenient!
