Wow!
Bought this two months ago during Prime Days sale. After what seemed like extensive research I had narrowed my choices to TCL, LG or Hisense. The TCL QM7K was the highest rated by Rtings.com at the price point I wanted. Other factors favoring TCL were the HVA screen claiming a wider viewing angle, this was replacing a Hisense U8 series which failed after only 30 months which left me with diminished confidence in Hisense and, although I am partial to LG, they apparently had availability problems with the model I selected. My primary TV is a LG C3 OLED. I prefer the TCL Google system, the TCL screen and audio tuning and the TCL remote. The OLED is superior for viewing angle and, although the LG picture is not as bright, I prefer the LG picture quality overall. However, if I needed to replace the LG OLED, I would be happy with The TCL QM7K.Out of the box the picture is amazing. For the most part I select Standard for the picture set up and leave it there. On Standard the picture is bright, the contrast right on, the colors vibrant and accurate. The TV will auto adjust brightness and you can override the auto bright if you want but rarely do I need to. The presets for picture and audio were amazingly accurate. I loved the picture from the beginning and actually was concerned because I did not feel the need to tune the picture and sound. I finally did use the Rtings settings for the Movie picture and thought all they did was bring the Movie picture closer to the preset Standard picture. The HVA panel viewing angle is slightly better than a normal VA panel but not much. If you need a wide viewing angle, spend the extra dollars for an OLED.The audio is quite good. Not sound bar good but far better than most. I switch back and forth between the Music setting for movies and the Talk setting for just about everything else.Buy this at the right price and you will be amazed!

Best TV In Its Price Class
I bought the 55 QM7K based on respected reviews. I was not disappointed. The picture is contrasty, bright, sharp and colorful, with excellent specifications for the price. The high refresh rate makes it excellent for gaming. A nice touch is that the center stand has a raceway to hide the cables. For its price point I doubt you will find a better TV.

Great tv for the price.
So far I am very pleased with the purchase. Picture quality is very good and the sound quality is the best I have ever had from a tv without a sound bar. Picture is bright and works well in my living room with a lot of windows. I feel it was a great purchase for the money!

Defective product
Defective screen. Poor quality. Within few days of use, the pixels showing deformity. Here’s how you test it. Put on a black image on TV, if you still see colors that means the TV has manufacturing defect.

Wall mount blocks speakers in back of TV
1st day installation. I have a wall mount with the straight arms, just like most wall mounts out their. TCL has in their wisdom decided to put their rear speakers right in line with the VESA patterned mount holes, so I can either have the mount arms sticking a couple of inches below the bottom of this TV (which will not work in my installation) or the arms will be covering over both of these expensive bang & olofson speakers. Not sure if it will matter but it certainly is poor engineering. Minus 1 star.

Great as a PC Monitor/Gaming display
I use this TV as my side PC monitor and to stream sports. The picture is great and is at least as good, probably better and definitely brighter than the Samsung QN90A it lives next to, that was the brightest TV I ever used to this point . I don't use Google TV at all and was pleased that I was not required to log in at any point to setup the TV and have full functionality. A certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cable is a must, if you want a problem free HDR/144hz/VRR experience.

Better than Sammy 7
Very impressed so far. Color is great, even now in a well sunlit room. Out of the box, audio is good, AND THEN, you play with the settings, and is pretty awesome. Very light for a set this size. This has been a Samsung family forever, but the reviews for this beat out the reviews for the Sammy 7 series. And is a few hundred cheaper. Very satisfied with this after a week.

Fantastic TV!
I was skeptical about purchasing a TCL tv. I was very enamored by the price on a recent Prime days deal, so I decided to take a chance. Let me just say, it was the best chance that I have taken on a product in a long time. I am not use to a TV with such a clear and precise picture. The set up was a breeze, I like the google TV integration as well. The sound system on this tv absolutely blew my mind when I started playing a movie on my new tv the day I got it. The integrated subwoofer on the back of the set was shaking my wall in my living room, the base on the action scenes was spectacular. The remote control is very sharp and user friendly, and I love that the buttons lite up when using it for ease of use in the dark while watching movies. I love playing games on this TV, NCAA 26 on my PS5 has been a blast to play so far on this set. I love that this set is sturdy, yet light weight and was easy to put the stand on, and then set up on the TV stand I bought without breaking my back to do so. I highly recommend this TV, and for the price I paid it was a big bang for my buck.
