Love this toothpaste! Love the flavor and the way it whitens my teeth. I receive compliments all the time.

Could tell the difference right away - sensitive areas stopped being sensitive. Yes you can taste the castile soap but the other ingredients cancel most of that. Besides, my concern is effectiveness, not taste. This is an updated review. Originally bought for my husband and myself, the first review was my experience. This second review is my update and my husband's experience. I had to discontinue using this product because it became apparent that I cannot tolerate xylitol. :( However my husband is a different story and one that needs to be shared. He is a vegetarian and has historically eaten tofu almost daily a good partof his life. High in protein and absent any carbs this seems like a no brainer. AND - it is processed with Calcium. His doctor told him some time ago that he needed to stop the tofu - so he stopped. We tried to replace his Calcium with broccoli etc. but clearly that did not work. He lost so much enamel that his teeth began to thin, actually becoming translucent. He had a front tooth that had actually chipped off a decent area of the tooth. So he started with this toothpaste and it has been VERY impressive - he began to gain strength, enamel in his teeth and the translucent appearance began to fade to solid color - although the teeth would soak in colors of his food. Over time that became less and less of a problem. We have recently done some research and determined that the tofu can be a part of his diet with some other protein/calcium modifications, and his teeth are becoming very white and nice looking. A little way to go yet but it is more than obvious he'll get there. Yes, the Tofu back in has given an extra boost, but this toothpaste has made a substantial difference as well. As I write this update we are waiting for our third order of this product.

Over the past few months I've started using natural oral care products. This was my first time trying Nelson Naturals brand. The Citrus blend is palatable, not too strong. In fact to me it had more of a salty taste than citrus. I like the added trace minerals concentration to help with remineralizing my teeth. I did notice after two weeks my front teeth started to look less translucent. I use this toothpaste twice a day, it doesn't make my mouth feel "fresh" like some toothpaste can, but still clean. It is quite small for the price (3.3 oz) and seems like it'll run out faster compared to other toothpaste. The label says "whitening mineral rich" but I haven't noticed any whitening effects. It has a paste like consistency making it easy to dip or pour onto your toothbrush. Overall it's just okay to me, I like the ingredients and the fact that it is in a glass jar instead of plastic. But the small size isn't worth the price.

I was looking for a natural toothpaste without glycerin. That's actually very hard to find. I don't find the taste to be too strong or unpleasant. It's a bit salty, but not overly so. I like that it comes in a glass jar, as I try my best to avoid plastics when I can. I don't find the jar to be convenient though, but it is what it is. I use a very small spoon to take out some of the toothpaste and put it on my brush rather than dipping it in for hygienic reasons. This toothpaste makes my teeth feel very smooth and clean after using. I plan on buying this again for sure.

Good product . But took over 2 weeks to receive order that was supposed to ship next day. Don't order toothpaste if you need it before 3 week's time.

It's baking soda with added minerals and citrus flavor. Quite expensive for the amount (3.3 oz).

Wow, I really can't say enough about this stuff. A little background, I've dealt with dry mouth for a long time (and still do). The toothpaste I'd been using was just your run of the mill Crest toothpaste. I'd noticed my enamel had started wearing away and I became a bit concerned. After researching extensively, I landed on this stuff. Reviews were relatively mixed, mostly regarding the flavor, but several others had mentioned how much it made a difference so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm so happy I did. Within a few days, my teeth looked and felt noticeably healthier. After using this for several weeks, I'm still seeing improvements in my smile and I love it. Now, about the taste. I'll admit it tastes a bit... peculiar, especially at first. Imagine citrus and cinnamon, with a pinch of salt. However, it really has grown on me and I might go as far as to say I prefer it over traditional toothpaste flavoring. All in all, I couldn't be happier with this product and am so thankful to have come across it!

I purchased this for my 15 year old daughter who has sensitive teeth from where a prior dentist had done work too close to her root. Our current dentist doesn't want to dig in again just yet to see if once her Invisalign anchors are removed from those molars if that may help with her sensitivity. In the meantime he has us using a prescription toothpaste which is $24. I had come across a young lady on you tube who did a video talking about this toothpaste and how she saw an instant difference in her teeth once using. My daughter agreed to give it a try. She is not a fan of the taste. She said it has a salty taste to it. However she said it's working. Her teeth are already less sensitive. I came back to Amazon to order her the Moringa flavor but that is out of stock. Hope it comes back soon. I just went ahead and ordered her the cinnamon flavor to try next. I ordered the fennel for myself.

This product takes some getting used to. I purchased it hoping for healthier teeth. I have some sensitivities and sometimes the paste is irritating when first applied. I notice my teeth are whiter. I might but this product again, especially if my hygienist is happy. I wish my kids would try it. The taste will turn them off, unfortunately. Baking Soda taste is difficult to mask. If my teeth are improving, then the taste is worth it.

It's a great product but the salty aftertaste is horrid. Teeth feel like they were polished at the dentist. I just can't get over the saltiness. I'll still use it since I bought two of them lol Purchased the mint 2 days later... 100% better, I'll be sticking with the mint after the citrus is gone.

Absolutely love the feeling on my teeth. I’ve tried so many natural toothpastes and Nvr felt clean.

We've tried Nelson Natural's hydroxyapatite toothpaste and we like the taste just fine, but this kind (Citrus Spice) is made with a different recipe which includes baking soda, castile soap, and essential oils. It tastes like baking soda with some clove oil in it, we DO NOT like it. It make brushing our teeth unpleasant. Maybe if someone is used to using baking soda on their teeth it would taste good?

Favourite flavour of this product line. Leaves my mouth feeling clean, and teeth feeling fortified. I have yet to see results in the long term as yet, but looking forward to it!
