Bought 2 so far, they arrived safely and as advertised. Ran some tests and they appear unused.

Have bought many only have issue with 2 slow upload an download the others working well Many running all the time and still working for close to or past 5 years large capacity recommend for large video use noise levels to me are as much as a general pc noise with fans running I don’t notice love this brand best luck with yet trying the 20tb out now

This is a factory-recertified drive. I use it for cold storage (MAME, Atari-through-PS3/Wii ROMs) and have used it for music and movie backups in the past. It's a top performer as HDDs go, with sequentials, both read and write, around 230MB/s. It's been going strong for over a year. The one thing that may give users pause is that it is *not* a quiet drive, even as HDDs go, making a loud grinding or farting sound when the heads cycle because the actuator-arm seeking in enterprise drives is optimized for performance in loud data centers, which is normal for an Exos. In short, if you're a silence freak this isn't the drive for you. Have ordered this before and it was great so I decided to order another for my NAS. For the price, it has an amazing storage capacity. Unfortunately the 1st one arrived DOA, seller replaced it asap with another drive. Replacement also had an issue, sounded like the arms inside the drive were getting stuck upon booting up. Seller accepted both returns and gave a full refund. Prolly just a bad batch.

Faster than I thought it would be for a disk drive

Makes a knocking noise, still works but you'll need to put it in another room.

I've bought 4 of these 16TB Exos disks and have checked each disk individually. The disks have recertified labels on them, but have 0 errors and 0 power on hours with 1.3TB host reads. They're remarkably quiet despite what people might tend to say about Exos disk or bigger disks in general. They're performing as expected (well!) in my UGreen NAS. To be clear, my disks were all sold by Amazon EU and came from the Northern France/Belgium area, only taking an extra day to get here over a normal Prime delivery. Extremely pleased with them - heartily recommended!

Seagate est une marque qui a plus de 30 ans je crois , pour moi ca reste une des deux meilleurs marque de HDD . Le disque dur est robuste et itens parfaitement dans le temps je l'ai mis dans mon NAS Synology et il fonctionne à merveille

Alla ricerca di un disco rigido per il mio NAS che fosse affidabile, capiente e performante, mi sono imbattuto nel Seagate Exos X18 Ricondizionato. Un vero e proprio gigante da 16TB che prometteva di archiviare i miei dati più preziosi con la sicurezza di un bunker e la velocità di un fulmine. Ma sarà davvero all'altezza delle sue promesse? Descrizione del Prodotto: L'Exos X18 si presenta come un hard disk da 3,5 pollici con un'interfaccia SATA 6Gb/s. La sua capacità di 16TB è a dir poco mostruosa (formattata 14,5TB), perfetta per archiviare foto, video, musica e qualsiasi altro tipo di file. La tecnologia CMR (Conventional Magnetic Recording) garantisce affidabilità e stabilità nel tempo, mentre la velocità di rotazione di 7200 giri/min assicura prestazioni eccellenti. Unboxing: L'hard disk è arrivato ben imballato in una scatola di cartone robusta e protettiva. All'interno, oltre al disco stesso, ho trovato un manuale di istruzioni e alcuni adesivi Seagate. Niente di più, niente di meno. Esperienza d'Uso: L'installazione dell'Exos X18 nel mio NAS è stata un gioco da ragazzi. L'ho semplicemente inserito nello slot dedicato e avvitato le viti. Il sistema lo ha riconosciuto immediatamente e non ho dovuto installare alcun driver. Prestazioni: Le prestazioni dell'Exos X18 sono davvero notevoli. La velocità di lettura e scrittura è eccellente, intorno a 250mb/s, sia per file di grandi dimensioni che per piccoli file. Non ho mai avuto problemi di lag o di rallentamenti, anche durante l'accesso simultaneo da più dispositivi. Lo testato, essendo ricondizionato, riempiendolo fino al riempimento del disco, cosi da verificare la bontà nella scrittura e devo dire che è stato perfetto. Lo SMART me lo da come nuovo, non so se hanno azzerato tutto oppure e completamente nuovo, ma io lo preso ricondizionato. Pro: Capacità di archiviazione mostruosa (16TB) Tecnologia CMR per affidabilità e stabilità Velocità di rotazione di 7200 giri/min per prestazioni eccellenti Interfaccia SATA 6Gb/s per trasferimenti dati rapidi Basso consumo energetico Silenzioso Contro: Prezzo un po' elevato Non adatto per l'uso in sistemi desktop o notebook Critiche e Limitazioni: L'unico vero neo dell'Exos X18 è il prezzo, che non è proprio per tutte le tasche.
