NOW Foods Supplements, Red Yeast Rice 600 mg, Made with Organic Red Yeast Rice, 120 Veg Capsules

Started taking the Red Yeast Rice supplement about six months ago, on the recommendation of my primary care physician. NOTE: PLEASE check with your physician BEFORE taking this and any other supplement products!!! Because my cholesterol was creeping up in the wrong direction, my PCP suggested that I take Red Yeast Rice. Along with a low calorie diet and the consumption of the Red Yeast Rice supplement, my cholesterol levels had returned to at and/or below normal range. This product worked beautifully for me - and I continue to take it as a precaution. BUT - - again, as with any supplement - check with your own physician. Very easy to swallow; great value for the money; no taste or after taste; and overall a GREAT product - for me!!! Thank You!

Consistent product

If you are taking this to avoid statins, you have not been successful. This is the same ingredient as Lovastatin. Your muscles will hurt and you can damage them just as with other statin drugs.

This was prescribed by my doctor and seems to be working.

I buy most of my supplements from this manufacturer and have been happy with all of them. This particular supplement was recommended to me by my endocrinologist.

It woks good for me.
