Origin8 Tsunami Folding Bead Fat Bike Tires in multiple size variations

Another Fat Bike Tire, Only Fatter and Maybe Vulnerable to Sidewall Damage
I purchased the Origin8 Tsunami Folding bead in the 26" X 4.9" for winter riding. It was $55.00 on Amazon. It fit with room to spare on the front of my fat bike. My first impression was that it was much taller than I expected. It was immediately evident that pedal effort was more than riding with the Vee Tire Mission 26" X 4", that it replaces, even though it was 100 grams less than the Mission. I have ridden it with varying pressures over many different surfaces. High pressures did not do this tire any justice. Noisy and harsh. It offers a wider footprint when at lower PSI just as noisy but traction was good.I'll update when I have a few more miles on it.Update: It's been an extremely snow free winter season and I find myself on hardpack, frozen grass and pavement; not this tires forte. Noisy and difficult pedaling. The softer and sloppier surfaces make this tire shine. I did get an interesting puncture. I found it flat one morning and could not locate the hole on first inspection. A closer look revealed a slight scuff on the sidewall of the Tsunami. Sure enough, a tiny slice compromised the tube. A large patch was enough to effect the repair. I will be more careful with sidewall contact because I feel the sidewalls are delicate.

LOOKS GOOD TO ME THE RIDE WILL TELL THE REST
Ok after mounting many tires thease tires were very easy to mount they look great I havent ridden them yet cause i put near 1800 miles on my stock tires kenda 20x4.0 my only concern is that they went off the bead off the rim with a traditional floor pump other than that from what i hear they are great tires i probally ordered the last 3 to have one as a spare hope the seller likes my custom pedego element set up ive added some pictures of my ride to go with thease tires for your viewing pleasure the last photo is with the stock tires the second one is the tires just mounted and the first one is of the new tire tread, 40 watt speaker in arundle loney cage for tunes on the trail no eject. Update as of 10-8-21 one flat over 2 k miles various terains rear tire swaped at time of flat just cause to third tire plenty of life left mabey an another 4,000 miles left in the tires. Tires excede expatations.

Direct replacement for the Sondors original 26 x 4.9
This is a direct replacement for the Sondors original 26 x 4.9 at half the price for the Sondors website. I ordered a couple and I've ridden 10 miles on it. The difference between this tire and the original Chaoyang tires is that the sidewall of this tire feels much thinner, making the whole tire seem less substantial. I know some people are worried about thin sidewalls. I'm just a little concerned! The tread seems to be exactly the same. I'm giving 4 stars but will update if the tire stands up to longtime wear. I'm replacing the rear Sondors tire after 1,000 miles.Update: I have it on the very best authority that these are extremely high quality tires (or tyres for some of you!).

Origin8 Tsunami Fat tire better than stock!
I just got into plus size 27.5 x 3.5 Mountain biking. The store that sold me the bike did not have these tires and they did not even have any tires that would fit the bike in the on line store. There are very few tires to choose from and some get close to $100 each. I am running these tubeless and after a couple rides they seem to work fine. I replaced my front stock tire that had a sidewall cut. The one thing I noticed is that the bike handles better with the Origin8 tire on the front. I will most likely be buying more of these!

Smaller than expected
I can't fully review this, as I returned it before riding on it, but I was disappointed to find that the 27.5" x 3.5" tire turned out to be even smaller than the 3.0" Maxis Chronicle I was replacing. Since my Fox 34 plusser fork seemed to have room for plenty more tire, I decided to try the fattest thing I could find for the winter. But, on the same 40mm rim, the Origin8 measured 65–68mm wide and 79mm tall (incl rim), compared to 72mm wide and 82mm tall for the Maxxis. Weird.

These tires are pretty cheap. I recommend unraveling them as soon as you get them because the longer they stay in the package the more deformed they get and the more they don't seem to roll correctly on the bike. The hold nearly all the folds and rolls in the tire from the packaging their stuffed into. Also, they're pretty thin. I live in the desert and I've already had 3 flat tires from goat-head thorns and I never even rode through the dirt. Those thorns go right through the thin tire and into the tube. If this is a concern you'll pry want to also buy a Mr. Tuffy liner. Probably look for a different product next time.

Fine fat tire
Reasonable price for a quality tire; 2000 miles so far on rear wheel application, and appears to be good for another 1000. Superb grip; smooth rolling tire.

Great tire for a variety of conditions
Using the 26x4.9's, these are excellent tires. I have ridden hundreds of miles on them in some really nasty conditions, lots of rocks and other debris on the trails we frequent.Easily set up tubeless and have never leaked.
