We had one of these under a different brand for over 10 years and the spindle on the wheel snapped, it took ages for us to find the same model.Pricey, but great gadget for keeping the kitchen knives sharp.

A sharpening stone that could be used even by a todler. It will not necessarily revive the sharpness of your blunt knifes but will definetly maintain the already existing ones, even improve them little by little. I use it on every of my knifes and it has been working flawlessly so far. Would recommend it! 10/10

Easy to use

Great little sharpener second one I’ve bought - the first lasted me 10 years!

I had one of these some years ago for home use. I needed a sharpener at work but this time bought one of the modern 3 slotted type. What rubbish that was! My home one needed replacing as after years of use it would no longer put an edge on a blade. I replaced old with new and now both home and work knives are really sharp. I don't know what the steel is for my kitchen blades but the work ones are Japanese AUS8 and all sharpen well.

The old and the new - the white one in the picture is the first of these that I bought way back in the 1980s when I first heard of them. It has been the only knife sharpener that I've needed/used. The ceramic wheels finally wore smooth (only took about 35 years !!!) so it was a no-brainer to buy another. There's nothing to touch it as far as I'm concerned.

It doesn't quite seem to sharpen the knives up as well as I was expecting, but in fairness it is much quicker than other sharpening tools.

A very useful device to have on hand in the kitchen or anywhere where knives are used, it easily and quickly provides a really sharp edge on a knife. Sharp knives are probably safer than blunt ones because so much less force is required to use them
