Arris Touchstone TM804G Telephone Modem Docsis 3.0 (4 x VoIP Ports) (Without Wireless Option)

I bought the ARRIS TM804G modem to use on the Optimum Network in NYC. After a little digging, i found out that the model numbers followed by an 'A" are just for Charter Cable, and that the models followed by a "G" are for optimum, cablevision, etc. This was a refurbished purchase at a great price. The item arrived professionally packed from the seller, all new components to go with the modem, and the modem in perfect condition. All it took was 5 minutes on the phone with Optimum Customer Service and I had my new modem registered on the network and up and running.With that I was able to return to Optimum their rented modem, and now save the monthly rental fee plus any and all applicable internet taxes on the account. Overall, extremely satisfied with the purchase, the performance of the product, the ease of the setup of the product, and the condition. And i am very pleased with the price point, and the fact that i will be saving monthly now on my internet bill. I recommend this seller to anyone looking, as their descriptions are accurate, their shipping is fast and the product works as described.

I bought this modem to use with my Shentel cable internet service because it doesn't emit wifi radiation, but it only has one Ethernet port. So, I did have to buy an external Ethernet splitter device so I could run additional cables to my computers. It has worked well for two months. One time it stopped working, so I used a pen to push the reset button and it was fine again.

This modem sporadically drops signal resulting in intermittent connectivity. The seller (Chommy85) has been unresponsive to messages. It looks like I'm out of money, luck, and will need to buy another modem!

I was paying $4.95 Plus tax a month to rent a modem with Optimum. I did some research and saw that this modem is compatible. I received shipment quicker than expected and it only took a quick 10 minute call with Optimum to cancel their modem and connect the one I bought. Works great and it will pay for itself in about 9 months.

Works well for use with Mediacom cable. Turns out I did not need this new unit because problems with my previous model were actually the result of Mediacom equipment causing connection problems. Well now I have 2 modems in case one fails.

I don't know why I did not buy my own modem and kept paying monthly rental fees to Optimum. This item replaced the rental, and now I no longer need to pay the monthly charges. I am happy with my purchase.
