It is hard to beat the Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB
This 2 TB (actually only 1.8 Tb without overprovisioning about 1.6Tb with the recommended overprovisioning) is top shelf in SSD. You really cannot beat it and its read and write speed is currently the best you can get. If you also count in the 5 year warranty you cannot go wrong. Team this with Samsung Magician 8 software and you are set (for 5 years anyway).A nice piece of hardware for your PC or laptop.

Superfast at a good price
I upgraded from Samsung 500 GB 970 EVO Plus to the 1 TB 990 EVO Plus on my older motherboard with PCI Gen 3 NVME slot so I am not getting full speed from the 990 but I am very happy with the performance.The 990 EVO Plus on PCI gen 3 slotSequential read speed - same as 970Sequential write speed - 2910 MB/s vs 1973 MB/s on 970Random read speed - 467041 IOPS vs 171142 IOPS on 970Random write speed - 175081 IOPS vs 120117 IOPS on 970I bought the 990 as I wanted to do a fresh Win 11 install to get rid of old garbage from multiple OS upgrades. As a bonus, I have increased throughput as well as clean OS installation.The 990 EVO Plus has maintained a consistent 36-37 degree Celsius regardless of load, no heat sink. I was going to buy an add on heat sink but decided not to as the Gen3 will not drive it at full speed.Recommended!
