Not a lamp, it's a piece of acrylic about the size of your hand that illuminates different colors. Just tested and does not give off much light. Cute just for display nothing more or less. Comes with base, acrylic plate Eiffel tower that you stick in base, USB cable. Does have 7 different colors. My kids loved it, it worked great and kept my little ones entertained for hours to the point where they did not want to leave their rooms, they just wanted to look at their lamps (I bought three of them).I've read people have issues with removing the protective film. At first I was super annoyed, but the nI use a sharp knife edge to get between the protective film and the image. I pulled the film up and was able to remove the film from the image without a problem after that. With that film off, it looks great.True, it is not a hologram and not a true 3D image as one might expect, but looking at the description, it is an illusion, so with regards to that, the item is as expected.The color changing options and the cycle options are great, not to mention the ability to either have it batter operated or USB plug-in. Having that ability makes it super portable, especially with a kid that love to take things with him when he goes on trips. This might be one of those things I need to pack in his suitcase, but I guess that is better than packing a tablet, so I won't complain there.Now, to my reason for lowering to a three star. It worked great for like four days and then just suddenly, in the middle of the night the color changed from green (where I had set it) to red. I cannot change it nor can I turn the darn thing off unless I remove the power source (battery and USB). However as soon as the power source is returned, it lights up red and I cannot adjust it AT ALL.
