Great Hula Hoop and It is Durable!
This hula hoop was the third one I had to purchase after the other two were super flimsy, cheap, noisy, and not as the products were advertsed. I watched a video about this product and it was highly rated. I decided to pay the cost, which there was a percent off and a coupon so it wasn't bad. I am so happy with this hula hoop. It is relatively quiet, durable, and is what it is advertised to be. The links can be stiff to take apart, but they get easier with use. When I put it on and remove it I remove 2 links and ease it off rather than unlatching it and forcing it off my hips. (The links can be a bit tricky to line up but with a bit of patience & practice it becomes easier.) I think you would be happy with this product. My husband just retired and I have gotten him a Swiss Activa - we will be a hula hooping pair! :)

Fun to use and sturdy
Why did you pick this product vs others?:So much fun to use! I had plenty of links leftover with this size as well. It’s sturdy and easy to piece together. If you’re a beginner, make sure the string on the ball is as short as possible. It makes it easier to gain and keep momentum.

Overall pretty good
Only used once so far. It was much quieter than the type I used to have and pretty comfortable. The counter worked. The main thing is it was swinging perfectly to the left, but when I tried to start it to swing right, it kept catching. Unsure if that was an angle thing or...So far I like it.

Buy the S2 XXL!
UPDATE: I ended up returning the S5.S+, which I had rated 1 star. I decided to try the cheaper S2 XXL model instead, since it looked like it had smaller links and a more stable rail. I'm happy to say that both turned out to be the case. The smaller links mean it was easy to find the proper size for me, and I had no problem with the rail/grinding issues of the S5.S+. It's much smoother and easier to use. It is louder overall, but not enough to be a true negative. I'd give the S2 XXL 5 stars and the S5.S+ 1 star, so I took the average and will give 3 stars, as Amazon doesn't allow me to review them separately.I also want to add that after posting my initial review, the company messaged me apologizing for the trouble and mentioned that I could get a full refund. I still wish there was a way to contact them on their site, but I'm impressed by how quickly they responded here. That and the much better S2 XXL definitely helped alleviate a lot of the initial disappointment of the S5.S+.ORIGINAL REVIEW:First impressions were not good. I'm fairly certain my hoop was used, as some of the parts were covered in dirt and thrown around haphazardly in the box. I ordered from Swiss Activa themselves through Amazon Prime, so this wasn't just a shady third party dealer. If this wasn't used, then they need to work on their professionalism, because dirt on new products is not a good sign.Actually using it was also disappointing. Some of the buttons for removing/adding links will randomly stick, making it far more tedious than it should be. The links also should have been half their size. As it is, I can't find a good fit with this hoop. It's either so loose that it's dragging down my hips at an awkward angle, or it's so tight that it's actually painful. That isn't an exaggeration; after using it for just half a minute or so, my ribs feel like I was hit over and over again because of how tight it was. But then remove a link and poof, too loose to work properly. The hoop at this size will sit at a steep 45 degree angle, rather than more or less straight like it should. Because of this, the counter doesn't sit straight against the rails, which means constant friction during use. Constant friction means the hoop/pendulum does not want to stay in motion, which defeats the whole purpose.Considering each link is over two inches long, this isn't surprising; two inches on the waist is quite a bit for something that needs to sit just right. The size of the links was very poorly thought out, and I find it hard to believe people haven't had a problem with this. My waist is a bit over 35 inches by the way, so I'm in the range for the product. All that being said, I wanted to give the brand the benefit of the doubt and ask them if these issues could be fixed, or if maybe I have a strangely defective hoop. For all I know, maybe the steep angle would normally be fine, but the counter I have is defective and just doesn't sit on the rails properly. You never know. I looked for a way to message them on Amazon, but there's nothing. I went to the site instead and found their contact us form, but there is no submit button (Chrome browser), which makes the form useless. I then found their email in their FAQs ([email protected]) and just emailed them directly...but as soon as I sent off the email, I get a response from Google saying the address wasn't found. It's just bad impression after bad impression. One star.

Amazing!!!
I am new to smart hula hooping and this the best one!! I had one before this that was fun but far too loud and got stuck and it slipped down constantly and caused some bruising. But I still found in fun. Being in apartment I couldn’t have it too loud so I decided to order this one and I love it!!!While I’ve only had this for a week and I haven’t used it a bunch yet, it is so much quieter, comfortable and more effective than other one I had. I went for 40 minutes instead 30 bc it was so quiet and fun that I lost track of time.High equality and if you love smart hula hoop but want something quieter I highly recommend the Swiss activa silent hula hoop. I will update after I’ve used for 30 days as I am doing the challenge.

nope. I am returning.
I started out with another popular brand of hula hoop on Amazon. I heard great things about the Swiss activa - seems to be the favored one in the hula hoop community.so of course I just HAD to have it!!! So what I like about it . The colors are aesthetically pleasing. There is a counter. It is very smooth! So smoothWhat I hate… the connections. It takes so long to get it on and to take it off. the buttons that connect the link to the thin piece .. well they are lousy. The cord that goes from the counter to the weight is like a shoe lace and it gets twisted up … often ..all the time. My other hoop has a different type of cord, and it was never an issue. It is pinching me .. BAD. I used it for roughly 40 minutes today - and I am covered in bruises .. the bruises I don’t care about - but the pain is too much. I added a second shirt and it didn’t help at all.I really wanted to love this hoop - I looked forward to it arriving and it’s just been one disappointment after another . I will be sticking with my original brand.
