Update: I emailed the seller about the auto shutoff problem and they immediately said they were sending me a new one. I'm bumping them up to 4 stars based on their excellent customer service and pride in their products.The light is bright and exactly what I wanted for my garage. The problem is that while it detects motion fine, it does not auto shut off. I have posted questions here and with the vendor and there is no answer. Also, no instructions came with the unit. I will return the unit unless I hear how to fix the auto shut off.

I bought this bulb because I was doing some painting projects in the garage, and I must say I was skeptical. Once I put it in and turned it on, I was blown away. It is like daytime in the garage, and the light is ample. More than ample. This has prevented me from having to mount additional lighting which ultimately saved me money. Also, the motion sensing is phenomenal! I would highly recommend this light to anyone needing additional lighting for their garage.Also, I LOVE the ability to turn it to constant on when working on projects. It further shows how well designed the product is, and if I had more places I could use it, I'd buy more.

Can't speak of the longevity because I've only had it for a week but the motion senseor becomes a little less sensitive after a week. Brightness is good.Now maybe a month later I find it has lost motion sensitivity but comes on when someone is walking above it. Had to walk under it before it came on all day today.

I had two 100 watt incandescent bulbs in my two car garage. I saw these LED lights that can be aimed and have motion activation and thought, gotta have it! Bought two. They showed up fast and installation was simple. I am lucky enough to have two "Fun cars" that take up our garage. These lights turned our garage into a showroom. The cars look amazing. There are no dark corners any more. The motion detection is astonishingly good. I can barely open the door to the garage without these lights going on. Very impressed.

I purchased two of these deformable lamps...hoping to put in my garage. I have one light switch for the two units together. However, they do not automatically turn off. I have been forced to deactivate the motion sensors (off switches) and turn them on/off using the light switch.Sent private message to manufacturer. Their reply was not satisfactory to the problem.PROS:Easy to installVery bright lightFulfilled quicklyMotion sensor turns lamps onCONSMotion Sensor never turns off.....therefore not workable.

In my application it replaced an overhead light in a 1 car garage - that light was a 16 watt LED (100 watt incandescent equivalent) 1575 lumens in a frosted glass globe. So then 6000 lumens (no globe) replaces 1575 - SHOULD be WAY more light - no brainer. Well when you look right at it - its a retina burner for sure - but stand with your back to the light and see how it lights the garage --- in this case about the same as the 16 watt LED - maybe even a bit less!! So - IF is was about the same light and cost about the same and even thought it uses 4 times the electricity - it would be DISAPPOINTING - BUT - since its all of that and costs 10 TIMES as much as the 16 watt LED - its earns the designation of PROFOUNDLY disappointing!

Installation was very easy. We chose to have it turn off/on with sensor. Now when we are working in the garage, we can see as if we were standing outside in daylight. We love it so much we bought 2 more and plan on buying more in the coming months for other areas in our house that would benefit having brilliant bright light.100 watt bulbs are dim compared to this light.Very very pleased!

It worked well for the low lit area upstairs in a cabin. Really brightened it up a lot. Super easy install
