This is a very beautiful set of dishes and very strong. When I was taking the plates out of the boxes, I accidentally dropped one and I was expecting to hear a plate shattering but I was pleasantly surprised ( shocked ) as it made a noise but it didn't break. That was the icing on the cake for me, I knew these dishes would last us a long time. Very pleased with them and would recommend
