Review: This is for the CORNER cat pan - I love her dearly, little bundle of cat-dirt fountain madness. She would have put the excavation crew to shame if I'd let her dig up the water line instead of their backhoe. After vacuuming up more cat dirt around the box than she would leave in and going through more cat dirt in a week than most people go through in a month, I decided we needed an enclosed cat box. Since her box is kept in the kitty condo... I needed one that would fit into her MidWest Cat Cage. Hours into research, I settled on this corner unit. It is true to it's dimensions and fits into the cat cage perfectly. She is not a large cat so I am not sure how it would fit a large cat, but she has room to turn around in there and it keeps MOST of the dirt inside during her OCD power strokes. I took the door off to assist in her acclimating from an open to closed dirt box and will replace it soon. That will help even more. I was concerned about the bottom, with so many negative reviews for the lip on the other cat box but as you can see by my included photos, the bottom is smooth and curved and should prove to be easy to scoop. The included cat scoop was missing when it arrived... which does not bother me at all considering the reviews of the scoop deemed them useless and I still have the old scoop which functions perfectly well, I would possibly knock a star off for that but won't in the spirit of they did me a favor now I don't have to throw it away. The cat box came in a big box, nestled together (first pic) with some tape holding the two sides together. It is fairly thin plastic which seems like it would break very easily but is should not have a hard life in the corner of a kitty condo. There are three fold down latches on the sides and back which do hold the top on securely enough, though I wouldn't want to test them by picking it up by the handle with a full box of buried treasures. I just need it to hold the cat dirt in, and don't plan on toting it anywhere so I am not concerned with them much. The seam between the lid and the box do not overlap so if your kitty is not a deep squatter like mine, it is possible that they would be able to pee on the seam and it would probably leak out. It may be that 5 stars is generous, regarding the quality- but I feel that for the price, it is exactly as advertised (minus the useless scoop, which I actually prefer), exactly the size I needed, and best of all will keep most of the dirt out of my vacuum and where it belongs.
Review: Decreases litter dust - I had to decrease the amount of litter dust in my house & decrease litter odors. This replaced a top entry litter box my girls have used since I bought their 3 story cat condo. The corner box fits differently and they still use it as a step to the lower floor. I initially pulled back the door cover because my girls were hesitant. In a couple of days I put it down and within a few hours they were okay with the swinging door. It doesn't close completely but it made a big decrease in the dust everywhere. The scoop did not come with it, but I prefer my old one. I only lift it to move it a few feet away to remove the lid & scoop out waste. I read reviews about the latches being questionable. They pop open if bumped hard enough. I double check before I lift by the handle and they are great. I also use light weight litter so maybe that helps. I have not found a pan that waste does not stick to at least sometimes, so I spray with Pam cooking spray before 1st use and after every cleaning to make scooping easier. I also added a mat that could catch litter to pour back inside the box. If they ever create an inexpensive one that the flap closes completely without trapping my girls inside I might buy it. Until then, I am loving this.

**Q: Is this good for high pee-ers? If not, can you recommend another?**
A: It will leak through the seam. I had an elderly cat with kidney issues and arthritis in her hips -- she used to bend down and raise her butt to pee spraying all over the wall and down the sides.  I found http://www.amazon.com/Natures-Miracle-High-Sided-Litter-P-82035/dp/B0087Y5NKS/ref=sr_1_11?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1454777270&sr=1-11 to be the most effective.  11/16" shorter, but the low front made it easier for her to get in and out.  I think a weewee pad under will prove to be a good thing.

A: Whether it leaks depends on how your cats urinate. I have several of this type of litter box, because they fit into the Ikea "Besta" cabinets I have turned into litter box furniture. Of my five cats, one of the boys has a tendency to urinate at fairly high velocity and it just about shoots vertically. He also frequently doesn't crouch/hunker down, so many times he hits the seam directly and urine leaks through. I have "pee pads" under the litter pan to collect these accidents so it doesn't wreck the furniture or floor, but I do wish this would be addressed by the manufacturer. If they built in some kind of overhanging lip so urine would drip down without getting into the seam, that would improve my life, and that of all other people with cats like mine, tremendously.

**Q: The product description says 12" high but there's a pic showing it's 14" high. I have a space exactly 12" high so I need to be sure the box will fit.**
A: Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't provide an easy way for buyers to provide info to correct conflicting page information.  As someone noted on the similar question on this page, the Product Description says "Deep design pan 15" W x 18 7/8" L x 11 11/16" H ".  That means it's just under 12" tall, assuming this information is correct, and other buyers have also confirmed the height.

**Q: Does this help get the litter off the paws to prevent litter from getting outside the box when the cat is done? My husband is going crazy from this.**
A: It doesn’t remove litter from the paws, but it does help keep more litter inside the box. I use a wood pellet type litter and it has drastically reduced the amount of pellets getting outside the box. Also, if the hood is detaching from the box, then it isn’t actually fully attached. I had a hard time snapping it all the way into place, but once it does, it doesn’t come off like that other reviewer said happened. I had the same issue with it not staying on until I fully snapped it into place.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but flimsy, fits Johnny Cat Jumbo

Good litter box but the complaints about sturdyness are true. It's fairly thin plastic so flexes a lot when you add more than just a small amount of litter, but I'm using this for two cats so I added in about 20lb. Moving while full causes the door hinges to pop out of place, but they pop right back in. On the plus side the Johnny Cat Jumbo size liners are a perfect fit. Liner around the edge and then the lid holds it in place exactly as you'd want.
