Why you should and why you shouldn't!
Let's talk about large quantities of fresh wheat berries! These things are fantastic. I purchased them when I could not pick up flour from the stores because everyone was over buying due to the covid-19 pandemic. So happy that I did! Not only did to get me through that. Of time where flour was not available in the supermarkets but I still use it to this day even after flower is available because the taste of fresh wheat berries ground up to make your bread is just heaven! It does not compare at all to the bag stuff that you get in the store, it is on a completely different level. Why you should:Fresh, non irradiated wheat berries. These things taste so good and make an extremely healthy and delicious bread. Extremely fast shipping, excellent price and reliable service. Why you shouldn't:Obviously these are whole wheat berries so they are not ask quick and accessible as already ground bagged wheat flour. It takes time to grind as well as shift but if you have the time and inclination these are well worth it because they are quality.

cleanest and best quality I have grown for fodder
These hard red spring wheat berries are the best I have purchased. I sprout these as fodder/sprouts for my chickens. These are the best I have purchased. I used to buy wheat berries from a local feed store, but the supply was dirty and I typically got mold and was unable to feed to chickens. I have also purchased from other supplies on Amazon with similar mold results. These wheat berries from Palouse are the cleanest and best quality I have grown. They spout fast and have a beautiful think root mat. I soak for 12-24 hours in a mason jar before transferring to my trays. Water 2x a day and within 7-9 days I feed to the chickens. My girls love this fodder. They eat the entire thing, grain, root and grass. This serves as a great food supplement, especially in the winter when they are unable to free range and eat grass/bugs.I look forward to future orders!

First time customer, will now be a repeat customer
Tried these for the first time, purchased a 3 lb bag since its just for me. Used to buy locally in bulk but they discontinued carrying. Found these on Amazon. Glad I did. Purchased the Red since that's what I'm used to eating, they are so yummy! Make mixed veggie, grains and greens bowls often and these are the perfect flavor for that purpose. Also great with just a little bit of salt and butter. Yum...can also be eaten as breakfast to start your day with a great grain...Loved the cotton bag they come in, scoop what I need then store bag in a plastic or glass container to retain freshness. Will purchase again

Amazing Flavor!!
This was my first try at grinding Wheat Berries into flour. The resulting flour is puffy and white and has an excellent flavor! Now that I know it works, and I can make my own flour, I'm going to do a LOT more baking! Does it grow? Well, I'll let you know!

Great Product
I use these sprouted for my sprouted whole grain bread. You can also use them for flour. High quality product.

Thrilled in Florida
I discovered wheat berries in 2012. Used for a salad and a couple other recipes. We purchased a mass quantity from another seller and ended up moving but brought the product with us. It was kept in the refrigerator and we thought it was ok but I guess it was just too long. Your wheat berries are even better than our original purchase. Outstanding. Better flavor and consistency. Your hard word and dedication show. Keep up the good work!

The first loaf has a nutty flavor and is pleasantly chewy.
We read about bread that incorporated freshly milled hard wheat, so we ordered hard red and white berries. Milled a cup of each and used it to replace two cups of King Arthur. The resulting dough was dry so I added a half cup of water. The dough in the picture sat at room temperature for two hours then in the refrigerator for 24 hours. It made a great and tasty pizza crust. It has a nutty flavor and is pleasantly chewy. We’re going to bake bread with it tomorrow. Our dough only achieved about 2/3 of the usual volume. Not sure what if anything to do about that.

Came up fast, nice rich green color.
Had been buying pretty much this at Whole Foods, and was happy with it. But, traffic around our Whole Foods is horrible, at least when we're not all hunkering down. And, the quality of product has diminished at Whole Foods since Amazon bought them. So we're not shopping there as much as we used to. Now, we're working from home. SO, where to buy wheat berries to grow our cats their beloved greens? Online. These are nicely packaged and grew as well as the old favorites. Cats love the greens. They're a little expensive, but I think are worth it.
