Excellent Item. Must have for Industry or Field Workers.
It is like magic. One second your screwdriver is demagnetized, and then you poke it through the hole, and it starts picking screws up and holding them nicely on the tip. Then you rub it against the side for a few seconds and it's like you are holding a useless piece of metal. Excellent Product. Give it a 10/10 for wizardry, although I think physics plays a role in it too.A very powerful magnetizer. Stronger than the others available online that I have seen. Would absolutely recommend. Demagnetizer might not work after one slide, but the realistic amount of time spent on demagnetizing is infinitesimal compared to how useful this product is. Highly Recommended.

Great tool
Works great. I've had one for years and the bands broke so ordered two more. Will use the old one for drivers with bigger bits since I can hold it by hand and still use it. When positioned correctly the halves repel each other and that is why the bands to hold it together. To magnetize a screw driver just run it through the center hole a couple times and it is. To demagnetize just stroke it through the side slot and that does it. Easy to use and does a very good job.

The hole is tiny, making it useless but on all but the smallest bits
Not sure what they were thinking, but this magnetizer is pretty useless. An ordinary screwdriver does not fit, only the smallest, thinnest ones. So I don't know what else you'd use it for. I threw it at a raccoon who was trying to steal my sandwich; it was good for that.

Works as expected.
Works on most driver shafts.

Awesome little buy. Works great!
Love this little tool. I take my drivers, push them through the hole and rub back and forth 2-3 times and the tips are immediately magnetized. De-magnetizing is just as easy. Rub the tip of the driver across the top a couple of times and bam, it's de-magnetized. I tried these with a set of Moody precision torx drivers, Wiha nut drivers, and a few Husky Philips drivers. Worked on all brands / finishes.

Very good but not great.
It's very good at magnetizing screwdrivers but not great. If the screws are small it's perfect. If the screws are too long they falls off of the screwdrivers that I've magnetized with this. There may not be anything better, but I wish there was. It's certainly worth the very low price.

I have one in each tool box. Worked great for years
I've had one of these same magnets in my several tool boxes for years on the farm and in my hobby tools. I wouldn't be without one handy. They work great. I lost a couple of mine and am glad to find replacements. These are small but stay in your tool chest unless you loan it out. Treat them like your favorite pocket knife and don't loan them out. If your friend could keep one he'd still have his!!

Inutile , fausse représentation. Poubelle.
Rino Long, Grand-Sault, NB.

Great for the tools it works with, but it doesn't work on all tools
I've had this magnetizer for around 2 months now. I think that overall, it's nice to have, as it can be pretty useful for the tools it works on. Although, it doesn't work on all tools. For screwdrivers that are NOT multi-bit, as in, regular, long neck, single bit screw drivers, this magnetizer works VERY well on them. I have a screwdriver that I magnetized 2 months ago, and this screwdriver still retains its magnetism, although, not as strong as before. I re-magnetized the screwdriver again just now and the magnetism became very strong again. However, there are many tools that this magnetizer does not work on. For my multi-bit screwdriver, this magnetizer does not work on the small bits. Same for my mini screwdrivers for smaller tasks, like for mobile repairs and smaller screws in general. This magnetizer doesn't work on them either. I think that this magnetizer might not work if the tool / bit does not have enough metal to work with, or perhaps it might be related to the type of metal of the bit, I'm not sure.So when this magnetizer works, it works great. It just unfortunately doesn't work for everything.

Wrong item pictured
Recieved this version of the tool, no 360, who's is the correct manufacturers model no. Unfortunately, the tool shown in Amazon's image is the image for tool no 3601 from General Tools. Will keep it anyway as don't have time to deal with return/exchange hassle. Just be warned. 3 stars for Amazon's mix up.
