I enjoy all of the Dalmore whiskies, both the 15 and 18 year old are also very good but until now, the Cigar Malt Reserve and the Port Wood Reserve have been my favourites. However, when you experience this, it gives you an entirely new understanding of the nuances of whisky production. The flavours are as described, the finish is extremely long and lingers wonderfully, with a sublime warmth that really makes you appreciate the difference between this and cheaper versions. Is it expensive, of course and not a regular tipple, but I’ll try to buy one every year…if I can!

Absolutely love this whisky. Super smooth and very complex. Every mouthful is a delight with a different flavour experience each time. Cannot recommend this single malt highly enough.

For most of us on everyday salaries, this is a decadent purchase, one which you need to dig very deep to find justification. That said, when you do strike gold and finally find that reason to buy this, then do so with the utmost confidence. You will not drink this wondering what the fuss was about, you will drink this and immediately start thinking about how you can find more justification for the next bottle. Sublime.

I travel a bit and try to find something fairly premium to gift for my dad every time I step out. I found this one at a reduced price during Christmas and went for it. Didn't tell my dad about the price. I got him couple of other brands along with this as well. After few days I got a call from my dad, saying its the best whisky he had ever tasted and this is how whisky needs to be. Taste and smoothness was unlike anything he had tasted. He had never said much about the other liquors I had gifted him for many years. So this has to be special.I'm delighted I got him a drink which he truly enjoyed.

First off I must comment on the wonderful aroma and flavour of this whisky. It is rather complex (as you’d expect from a whisky which is matured in 6 different casks) and for me has a nice amount of port influence.However I’m not entirely convinced that the price is justified, which is a shame considering the fact that I genuinely enjoy this whisky. This is primarily due to the low abv of 40% which doesn’t let the full flavour of the whisky speak for itself.However if you’re someone who enjoys a smooth and silky whisky then this could be one of your favourites. At the very least I would recommend this as a one-off purchase for the experience.

Wow I have tried many whiskeys but a man on a average wage it took a lot of time to justify this purchase infact I thought about it for about 6 years and I should of brought it sooner the flavours are unreal I don't no how but it has changed my life I shall buy another soon

Fantastic Whiskey! In my top 5 whiskys of all time.Goes great with a fine Cigar and some dark chocolate.A bit pricy but just about worth it.
