Starwest Botanicals Guarana Seed Powder, 1 Pound

This is some great stuff. It may have an odd taste to it, and it doesn't always mix well, but I suppose you just have to deal with that. It could be that I haven't been mixing it enough into what I'm using it in. Still though, this stuff has taken me through some days when I've had almost zero sleep the night before with enough energy to make it through the day and do some serious exercising as well, such as three hours of basketball. You'll feel the difference too if you use this before working out. Great stuff, if you're looking for an energy boost then look no further.

Every so often I remember I have this powder. Today for instance I didn't feel like drinking soda or a Rockstar. I just wanted to drink some lightly sweetened iced tea. However, I knew that this would not get me through the day. So, I scooped a generous teaspoon into a glass and from the tap a little warm water. Swirled the contents around in the glass then downed it. I backed this up with a small grapefruit slice. This cancels out the aftertaste :) Twenty minutes later ---> !!!BANG!!! I can see where if used every day a body could build up a slight tolerance. This kinda goes for a lot of things right? Bottom line - A great product at a great price.

Very good product! Fresh powder in bulk, great for mixing my own power drinks. Received product promptly. Guarana is a good long lasting stimulant that leaves one feeling relaxed after use and will not interfere with sleep. So as an athlete this works very well.

This "powder" isn't ground nearly fine enough for drinking. It's gritty and sinks to the bottom of the cup. It does not stir in. It tastes odd too. Complete waste of money and it's not returnable. I'll never buy from this vendor again. 1/10 Do not recommend.

I was introduced to Guarana seed powder about 10 years ago in Brasil. I remember that it gave me a long lasting sense of energy and focus, without the jangely feeling you can get from caffeine. Back then I used it mainly for surfing, but also sometimes for bike rides. It also gave me a feeling of better breathing/increased ability to take in oxygen while exercising. I've looked for a similar product in America for years without success, until finding this product on Amazon. It works great, with all the attributes of the Guarana I used to get in Brasil. I mix a 1/4 teaspoon in juice or with an energy powder and water. That seems to be a good dose for someone my size (6'1", 160lbs). Highly recommended

Purchased this two weeks ago, have been using it every day. I was married to a Brazilian for a decade, and am a huge fan of Guarana. This is exactly the same as we used to bring back from Brazil in the 90's. For people who've never tried Guarana, it's a natural energy booster with some great libido boost. I take about 1/2 teaspoon in the AM before work, and sometimes another serving around 3PM. No real 'crash' like consuming sugar and energy drinks. The product is powdery, takes about 5 minutes to mix into water (just put 1/2 teaspoon in the bottom of a cup, and 5oz water and let it site for 5 minutes, then stir it up). It tastes, well, like dirt - it is a plant after-all. I'm disappointed that some people rated it poorly based on flavor or immediate water solubility, because in my opinion they just didn't know what they were buying. if you want something that WORKS and is HEALTHY give this a try. If you want sweet soda energy products, stay with the Rockstar and Redbull type products.

I am sure the product is a good one, but it wasn`t for me

Nice little pick me up. Takes about 30-40 minutes to kick in, peak for me is about an hour and a half in. Long lasting energy that really goes the distance. Does not mix very easily almost seems to repel water, I use a blender for the easy button. It is possible to mix with a spoon but you really have to work at it. half a teaspoon or so was a nice pickme up. No jittery feel, just solid energy. Heaping teaspoon was a much more noticeable bump and long lasting. I'm thinking somewhere in the middle of half and full is where I need to be.
