Great Product!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Used this tent in a windy and rainy storm in Oklahoma. It did great! No leaks. Also easy to install and remove. I have a 2020 GMC Seirra 2500, 6ft bed. Fit no problem

Beyond worth a try
Bought this to camp in Wyoming on the plains while prairie dog hunting in my 2021 Ram 1500. I haven't camped with it yet but the test setup was a breeze. It's tight and sturdy with a lot of adjustable straps for securing it to the truck. The only thing that isn't super obvious is that the top poles need to be positioned on the top of the bed rails/sides. It doesn't seem like it should but there is plenty of excess material for the floor. The flaps going over the side essentially need to start at the top inside edge of the bed rail/side.For the cost it's a big win. Definitely worth giving it a try. Given the cost I shouldn't be allowed to suggest anything but in case the manufacturer is interested...The hooks could be improved by dipping the entire hook in rubber/plastic Or by manufacturing the hook completely out of durable plastic. Being a manufacturing engineer I would say the later is the best solution. The attachment point to the vehicle is too subjective to think the very tip of the hook being protected is enough. Could save you guys from angry reviews of customers scratching their trucks due to high winds.

Exactly what I wanted
I was excited to receive this tent to use on the back of my truck. Fast delivery and it came out of the box looking great. I decided to put it together in garage to make sure I understood and it was fairly simple. Little of adjusting back and forth to get the rods evenly spaced, but not tough at all. Put it on the truck and it was a pretty good fit, not perfect, but good. Strapped down fairly easily although around the tailgate took some getting used to. Roomy inside, flaps seemed to seal well, decent height, and I didn’t feel like it was going to blow away off my truck.I left it in my garage overnight and then took it down in preparation for going camping. That’s when I found the issue. The little nylon pockets where the rod ends rest. The two in the back toward the cab of the truck were looking like they were going to break. I immediately started thinking about reinforcing them somehow, then realized if it’s doing this on a test run, how fast is this going to wear out and break? I’m guessing I’d have to buy another tent once a year or slightly more. At this price, it’s not worth buying yearly-ish. I think if the company makes the nylon rod end holders more durable, this would be great.I debated whether to get a replacement, but decided to try another brand so I started the return process. The company reached out to me and were really nice + concerned about the issue. I sent them pictures. They offered to replace, but I already have another brand being shipped. If I have problems with the other tent, I may give this unit another try. Maybe I just got an “off” unit, but there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the nylon. Maybe too much pressure on it. I was going to give a little less stars, but the customer service was surprisingly good and overall the tent met all my needs except durabilityUpdate: Customer service reached out to me and, even after I was refunded, wanted to try to make things right. They ended up shipping me another unit for me to try. I can’t say enough how impressed I am with the support received. They were very pleasant throughout and only wanted to help me.I tried the new unit and it did not have the same issue with the nylon pockets. I’m glad that turned out to be unusual. I’ve now used the tent 4 times and it’s great. Good fit on my truck. The only issue I’ve noticed over time is the liner is a tad thin. It’s already starting to show a couple minor pinpoint holes. It’s a good tent though. Definitely adding a star back and would recommend, especially if you can catch it on sale!

Perfect Fit and easy set up
Bought this for an up coming trip for a 2024 Tacoma. Did a test setup which I recommend. First , very easy to set up and quick. Did it on the ground not in the truck. At first I thought it was messed up because it wasn’t level, then realized the “A” poles (green markings) are meant to sit on the top edge of the bed and the “B” pole (blue marking) on the tailgate. “A” poles are shorter than “B” pole, perfect fit for the Tacoma. It comes with a rain guard as well. Poles are clever design the way they break down. The entire system fits in a small bag. Can’t comment on durability. Only concern is the metal hooks for securing the tent, concerned about damaging paint. I am going to wrap them with electrical tape.

I Was Wrong.....
UPDATE April 13, 2025-After having used this tent on a recent camping outing, this truck tent is actually pretty darn good. While set up is a bit fiddly, overall, it was a very solid shelter that was room and had PLENTY of headroom. The ten materials are solid and provided plenty of protection from the chilly winds along the Appalachain Trail. The zippers are very good and did not snag upon entry and exit. I did experience a little rain and the fly kept me dry. I do feel confident that this tent can old up to long periods of rain and not wet out. In addition, this tent really shines when dipsersed camping. All you need is a flat spot to park your truck, set up your shelter and you have a comfortable place to sleep for the night. If you're on the fence, go ahead and give this tent a try. Customer service is very responsive and will work with you if you have any issues so you have nothing to lose! Happy camping!UPDATE: I received a replacement tent with aluminum poles and that was extremely cool of the vendor. Sadly, I am still having issues with this tent. This time, the tent came with a bent pole tip. PLEASE tell me how I can get a spare set of poles? I really want to love this tent but these issues are becoming annoying in a hurry!I was very excited about this tent after reading reviews and watching multiple videos. Sadly, this tent did not come close to my expectations. The tent poles are VERY flimsy and the knots on the ends of the shock cord can be pulled through the poles without much pressure. In addition, setting this think up is a nightmare. Poles won’t stay in their pockets and too much care has to be taken to not break these flimsy fiberglass poles. Just an awful tent. Save your money and avoid this junk.
