Product in itself is good. And It does what it claims. But Seller is doing the cost cutting here, The package should come with 3 AA battries but in my case there was only 1 AA battery already installed in Trimmer and remaining 2 were missing. Please check your pack very carefully once you get it. As far as trimmer is concerned, I have been using it since last one year and it works like charm.

Philips is a RELIABLE name. I am not saying they have not had their share of bad launches but they have always been a responsible, pro active and a company which has stood by with solutions. It's a BODY groomer and meant for to be used like that. Don't try to use it for head or beard ( I have not tried or don't intend to ) as it's not meant for that. As a body groomer, Its an excellent product. This product ticks all the boxes. 1) Its easy to use as long as you follow the instructions on the manual which is simple enough to understand. 2) its battery operated and powerful. My first use impression says " Optimally Powerful". 3) Its safe to use and despite uneven angles and surfaces, there were no PULLS and TUGS of the skin. The blades are responsively sharp while being overly safe. Its fast as well and does not need long minutes to do its job. 4) Its indeed shower proof. I am not sure how many people would want that feature, I don't but still tried it. As long as you keep the battery compartment shut, Its 100% shower proof. 5) Its ergonomic and the right weight. 6) Combs are easily interchangeable. I have seen some very complicated changeovers. 7) There is a hanging cord as well, Which may come in handy for many, to me its an additional benefit and a welcome one. 8) Comes with 3 AA batteries while it needs only one. Something tells me it uses more battery than expected although after a days use, I don't find so. The additional comb and a cleaning brush. All exquisitely designed and fits like a glove. 9) It should have had a storing case and maybe which is a standout point per me. I am storing in the box it came in which is BIG and CUMBERSOME. Philips should have provided a storing case. Over all, I have no complaints agains the product. Its a 5/5 awesome product irrespective of the price. If you are looking for a body groomer which does a little more than what it says, then this is a product for you , irrespective of the discount on the MRP. It's worth every cent. Oh YES! Lot of reviews negate the possibility of registration decline, Mine was a breeze and I could manage to register the product on Philips site under 2 minutes. Keep the Amazon Invoice E copy in PDF format handy and voila you are done under 120 seconds for an additional year of warranty.

The Trimmer was so smooth. For body hair it was very easy and safe I feel.even the blades help in good trimming. Very Comfortable and Easy to use.

I m writing this review after using 1 year. Very nice product. I m using it for cleaning body hair, except my face and head. Shave effectiveness : 4.5/5 Small & mid size hair Shaving Speed : 4/5 Long curly hair Shaving Speed : it's takes time. Battery life : 4/5 but it powered by AA battery. Accuracy : 4/5 on curv 3/5 after adjustment 4/5. Noise : very low

Basic purpose for me to buy Phillips BG1025 was to purchase a better & safer shaver for armpits & groin area. So I had been using my very old Phillips Aquatouch shaver's extended arm for the said job, although it used to do the needful a little quickly than BG1025, it wasn't really safer on sensitive areas. Used to leave cuts & blood spots every time I used it there. And basic reason was, its blade didn't have a protection cover. I initially thought of purchasing Zlade Lite trimmer, but then saw great review from one customer about BG1025 & decided to go for it. Received it today & here's a quick review with after its use with default 0.3mm trim size case: 1. The most irritating part is, trimmer doesn't really work with dry hair, be it in armpits or down there. You have to make the hair wet & then use the trimmer. 2. Another irritating thing is, it won't really work in one stroke & you'll literally see yourself going again & again thru same area moving your trimmer. 3. In spite of 0.3 mm trimming case being quite thin, you won't see hair getting trimmed on your armpit effectively. It was frustrating, until I removed the 0.3mm blade guard & trimmed my armpits with open blade. And then it was smooth like never before. But that increases the risk of skin getting cut if you don't take extra precaution. 4. Another tedious task was trimming bush down there around... One peace of mind was, with 0.3mm guard on, the chances of skin getting cut are very less, and you can use the trimmer with just a little care. But again, one stroke isn't enough & you've to go again and again thru same area for effective shaving. Quick hack: Use the trimmer without any blade guard for a quicker & smoother shaving in armpits or down there. But it's a risk of getting cut. Battery life: To my surprise the trimmer worked with single AA battery for half an hour. I am expecting it to last the another round of trimming next time. But can't expect it to go on for 3rd time. Conclusion: I don't have experience of other trimmers from market for this purpose. Although reviews of this trimmer were fantastic, I was disappointed with a lesser precision in trimming hair & repeated strokes thru same area. However somehow managed to get the expected result after half an hour's struggle. You can go for it in case you're looking for some pocket friendly trimmer. Cheers.
