I like the indent in the nibs as I feel like it's going to make it easier to move the pieces. The dice are nice, if a tab bit small. I think this will work fantastic for our upcoming travel and I love that it's a zipper enclosure, so there's no way any pieces will get lost. I does lay flat for me, you just open the zippers to the corner instead of all the way, pretty simple. Overall I think it's the perfect size, not too small as to be unplayable, and not too big as to not be easily transported.
