Is this a real one or fake?

The one I received is quite real. It's a very heavy, sturdy bowl with a generous amount of medium to large salt rocks. I have mine on 24/7 and it works perfectly and is very beautiful.

Will this turn On and Off if connectrd to a timer?

I've never used a timer before, so I'm not 100% sure. But the lamp has a dial switch on the cord that you turn to put it on and you can control the amount of light you get by turning it higher or lower... so I imagine that like any item that has an on and off switch, you could also do it with this if you leave the switch turned on. Works the same as a dimmer switch.

Is this lamp rechargable or does it require a cord to plug in?
