Played with every day - Good sign!
Perfect Christmas gift. I ordered this as gift for Christmas. It is now April and I heard back that it is played with EVERY SINGLE DAY! It is study and will not break. We bought this dump truck for our 4- and 5-year-old nephew and niece, and it's been a big hit! While it comes with a remote control, the kids mostly enjoy pushing it around manually, and it works great for that. It's sturdy and handles their play well, whether they're driving it with the remote or just using their imagination. The truck's size is large , and the dump bed adds extra fun—they love loading and unloading their toys. Even without using all the remote features, it's been a fantastic addition to toys. Highly recommend for young kids who love construction vehicles!Note: I see other reviews who are more specific to the remote control and value. I have to say since the kids are using it as push and not remote it is too expensive that that.

Not a bad toy, but disappointing at this price point.
The media could not be loaded. Nice big dump truck. I got the Ultra Pro version. The bed is plastic with a metal rim, and the cab is metal. The cab doors do not open. I like that the rearview mirrors are rubbery so they can't break off, but there were several things that just seemed underwhelming for something that would have cost so much if I hadn't gotten it as a sample.First off, the steering and motor is on/off only, no analog throttle. You can't go slower or faster, and you can't turn just a little. The turning radius sucks, so plan on doing many 10-point turns to get this truck's load where it's going. The truck bed is cool in that the back gate is attached so it opens automatically when the bed lifts. The power to lift the bed does not come from the big hydraulic cylinder- that's just cosmetic. It comes from a plastic piece on a rotary lifter thing hidden up under he bed in a position with poor leverage. I didn't strain its weight lifting capacity, but this is going to reduce it significantly compared to if it had an actual linear actuator where the cosmetic hydraulic cylinder is.Speaking of cosmetic things, there are calibration sliders on the controller and under the front wheel area that are molded in to the plastic and non-functional, making me think that maybe they copied a fancy controller while removing some functionality. The blinky lights on top are red/blue, very cop-car and not very dump-truck. You can change the blink pattern but not turn them off. The headlights turn on only when the truck is moving forward, and when you turn the front wheels, a single headlight lights up. Wut?All in all, definitely feels like a cheaper toy than the price. If I had paid for this, I would have returned it. If it had cost $40-50, it would have felt like a good deal. As it is, we'll have some fun because the kid who will be getting it for Christmas is only 2 so he doesn't care.

A Beautiful Remote Control Truck
This large bold truck certainly makes a statement. It is sturdy and well made. It has flashing light and is easy to operate the remote control. This truck could amuse children from one generation to another.

Awesome and detailed remote truck!
We paired this remote truck with a remote control excavator which means that we can also have fun with these toys with our little ones. The truck is pretty rugged enough to handle their play style. It's nice to have two batteries, even though we haven't gone through one during one playtime yet.

I'm not sure what they mean by 10 channel
I was excited to get this because I used to be into RC vehicles and this seemed to be a nicer one. There are so many vehicles out there that just drive, so the added features of this one seemed like it would be cool to play with. I was a little underwhelmed. The controller takes four AA batteries and they are not included. There are two battery packs for the truck itself but I had to go hunting for the batteries to power the controller. One good thing is that the included battery packs for the truck come at least partially charged, so as long as you have batteries for the controller this is ready to play with right out of the box.As to functionality, I was trying to figure out what they meant by 10-channel. It has the normal functions of forward/reverse and turning the front wheels left and right. None of this is proportional even though the controller looks like a more sophisticated one. Turns out it is really just a mimic of a nice controller. The buttons on the bottom right of the controller adjust the steering trim. There is also a trim indicator under the truck but it is just molded into the plastic and does not move. So if they are counting the trim control from the remote as one of the functions, I have to say that is pretty underwhelming and not exactly a "fun" feature. The four buttons on the right are to raise and lower the bed. This has one speed as well and does not have anything to do with the hydraulic lift that was seen in the listing photos. The lift is actually accomplished by a part that sticks out near the back of the bed. So it does not have the greatest leverage, even for a toy. The other two buttons on the left mute the motor noise that comes on when the truck connects to the controller, and honks the horn. Also, I kept pressing the light button, but I could not figure out what it was actually accomplishing. Perhaps the lights on the top changed pattern? Also, are blue and red lights on top a country-specific thing? Because here in the US that is not at all what construction vehicles use. Might have been nice to have the option of different colors for the top lights or better yet, actually design the truck for the market it would be coming out to, namely yellow. The turning radius is extremely large but that is probably one of the more accurate features compared to a real work truck of this type. Just get used to a bunch of back and forth to complete a turn or a turn around. The details of the truck itself are actually pretty cool so this would make a nice display piece. But as an RC toy I was not very impressed. I would say that if you are getting this for someone who really enjoys construction vehicles it may really thrill them. I am just not sure that it is worth the retail price I see at the time of this review. My dog absolutely hates it. But not for the same reasons.
